5.0 out of 5 stars A touching tribute, September 8, 2002
By
This review is from: America's Heroes (Hardcover)
"America's Heroes" gives a stunning look at the heroes of September 11, 2001. From the firefighters, to the people aboard united flight 93 that crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, these people are all considered heroes. And you can't forget the rescue dogs who practically worked themselves to death, trying to find somebody alive amongst the rubble of the World Trade Center.

This book is lasting tribute, filled with pictures, not of the buildings burning or the towers collapsing, but of the New York City firefighters & police officers, soldiers and of people mourning the loss of a loved one. It also features an excerpt from President Bush's address to the country on 9/11, a timeline of the terrorist attacks and stories about the people there that day.

This is an extraordinary book that every American should own so we will always remember the courage and the bravery of those everyday citizens who lost their life or risked their life trying to save another soul and didn't think twice about it.

By
This review is from: America's Heroes (Hardcover)
By far, this is the best book about 9/11. The stories in this book about the heroic rescue efforts in New York and DC are amazing. This book will be considered a classic in the years to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspired Stories of 9/11, December 12, 2007
This review is from: America's Heroes (Hardcover)
This is a large, beautiful book with excellent pictures. I was teaching school shortly after 9/11 at a detention center for juveniles where this book became the most frequently checked out book in the library. These children needed heroes because they often had none at home. They also

made comments about the book that indicated to me that it made them proud to be Americans.
