For the first time ever, Mobil Travel Guide has taken its 45-year-old star rating system into the hotel and resort spa arena. The goal of the America's Best Hotel & Resort Spas is not to identify and rate every spa in the country, but to recommend only the best in each category. We look at the stars from a consumer's point of view, rating spas across North America from the perspective of the "average traveler."
This book features listings of the top rated spas in both hotels and resorts located throughout North America and includes stunning photography collected from each of the properties. Each spa will have an introduction page that provides an overview of the type of spa--complete with a colorful description of location and the spa's focus (such as wellness center, ayurveda, etc.). Spa description will then be followed by the very simple, yet stunning photographs that will dominate the pages, as opposed to text. Where relevant, a section describing the spa cuisine will be included, featuring colorful photographs of items and a signature recipe of the spa. The hotel or resort that each spa is located within will receive a one page photograph and short description describing location, size, and accessibility.
