Book Description

November 11, 2010

Fully revised and expanded, this stirring account reveals how the U.S. government permitted the illegal entry of Nazis into North America in the years following World War II. This extraordinary investigation exposes the secret section of the State Department that began, starting in 1948 and unbeknownst to Congress and the public until recently, to hire members of the puppet wartime government of Byelorussia—a region of the Soviet Union occupied by Nazi Germany. A former Justice Department investigator uncovered this stunning story in the files of several government agencies, and it is now available with a chapter previously banned from release by authorities and a foreword and afterword with recently declassified materials.

5.0 out of 5 stars A powerful survey any history library must have February 20, 2011
Format:Paperback
America's Nazi Secret: An Insider's History packs in a hard-hitting survey previously published as The Belarus Secret, appearing here with updated material from recently declassified files. Its original publication, despite government censorship, was the Knopf Nominee for the Pulitzer Price in History: thirty years later this reprint offers all the censored items and much more in a powerful survey any history library must have.

4.0 out of 5 stars An Eye Opener March 16, 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Quite amazing to see how well respected names like Thyssen for example
were involved in WW2 and took works of art from the Nazis and are putting
them on display today in Spain as their own art collection. Not to mention
how the Nazis were used by the US after the war to spy on the USSR, or
how the Nazis were financed by countries which later fought them!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fiendishly Hilarious April 26, 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The depth of evil on the part of the robber barons and their enablers as depicted in this book is hilarious in its depravity and chilling in its permeation throughout our history. John Loftus tells it like it is. He would know. Working for the Justice Department, he was a foot soldier out on the front lines. Read this book and weep.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read, but a bit drawn out.
A very enlighting book and well written. Mr Loftus really dug deep with his research, but I found it a bit 'drug out' to where I was tempted to scan over quite often. Read more
