The book can give you some good ideas of what doctors are doing a good job; and what you should look for. However, it seems as if the doctors chosen were recommended by other doctors, not patients. Since the doctors didn't actually use their services, just listen to feedback, they can be inaccurate. I chose a dr. from the book and found myself going back for a second surgery to repair his work. When it still was not right, I was offered a free third surgery! Of course, I couldn't give him a third chance! I'm not sure that the standards are as good as they should be. I have actually seen better doctors who are not listed in the "Best Doctors" books.Sorry, but it's my opinion.
