From Library Journal
The bulk of this book is lifted from U.S. Department of Labor publications, which are of course copyright-free. The publisher acknowledges this right on the cover of the book and throughout its pages. Unfortunately, the job profiles, taken verbatim from the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH), are from the 1992-93 edition and not the 1994-95 edition, which is now available. Other information includes extensive Labor Department statistical projections on job market trends. The editor has contributed an introduction, a chapter on labor market conditions, another on career decisions and job hunting, and editorial comments throughout. Libraries with career collections may want to circulate this book, but only after making sure that they have an up-to-date OOH on hand. The statistics on labor market trends, number of degrees awarded, etc., are well organized and may not be readily available in nondepository libraries. This resource is not essential, but it could prove useful in libraries that work heavily with those making career decisions.?Sue McKimm, Cuyahoga Cty. P.L., Parma, Ohio
