More About the Author

Tim Sorweid (1982-) was born in Mequon, WI, a suburban region outside of Milwaukee. Tim's interest in writing began at Homestead High School, a school which is known throughout the state for their superb English department. Despite his writing development, he attended University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, a public college, where he studied Computer-Science, a more "practical" major. Upon graduation, Tim left his home state for the beaches and sun of San Diego, CA and worked in the technology industry for over five years. Tim's love for writing was not lost, and he was prompted to begin writing his first book along with his brother, Steve, after the economic collapse of 2008. Tim's concern over the rapid growth of the size of the Federal Government has been his main passion in his adult years and his mistrust of politicians has motivated him to help young Americans understand what freedom truly means; the ability to live ones life without interference from an overreaching government

This book examines some cold hard facts about the financial crisis this country is in and will continue to be in if immediate changes aren't made to our government. Issues like social security spending and the ever expanding size of government can't continue to be swept under the rug without the younger generations paying a huge price.

This book doesn't just express personal opinion, but instead looks at the original role of government set in place by the constitution and the founding fathers who created it.

If you want to know how we got to this point of such a big government, why that's such a dangerous thing and why it's going to be your problem, read this book to find out what you can do!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who has any interest whatsoever in the current fiscal state of affairs in this country and other current political topics. Like a layman's guide to the failings of big government and "progressive" financial policy, this book will open your eyes to what is really happening in the US and what we have to look forward to if we don't alter our course. It was especially wonderful as a twenty-something to read a book written by two young men, who like myself care about the future of this country and are not content to be silent about what they see happening in the halls of government. The Sorweid brothers have produced a very thoughtfully written and well researched piece of material that any American, young and old, should take take the time to acquaint themselves with. From the failings of The New Deal, Medicare and Social Security to the indoctrination of the the youth by elitist left wing academics and Keynesian economic supporters this book will verse you on the realities of Big Government in the United States today. It's time to wake up to the realities that are upon us and enact some real change, not the kind that Obama sold you.

3 of 4 people found the following review helpful By Jonathan Macauley Nielson, Ph.d. on December 9, 2011
Format: Paperback
To the characterizations attributed to this book by its publisher and presumably its two "20-something" authors, I can only add clueless and indoctrinated. Anyone who subscribes to the litany of odious, dark 'big government' conspiracies enumerated here, and truly believes that government has "declared war on America's youth" is, in a word, delusional. The only 'empowerment' this screed offers to "young American Freedom-Fighters" is the gravitas of distortion and unthinking ideological extremism. Indeed as the book asserts with dire warning the "fate of the nation" hangs in the balance, especially should anyone take this heavily biased and distorted critique seriously. That we face very real and serious challenges is undeniable and those real challenges deserve the attention they warrant. Sorry guys: Tilting at imaginary windmills is as unproductive as it is unsatisfying. As I have had the privilege of teaching "America's youth" for over thirty years as both graduates and undergraduates, my rejoinder to this is to encourage (I dare say plead)that all serious students of the American 'reality' accept the challenge of actually attempting to come to grips with what truly endangers our republican institutions and personal freedoms and embrace intellectual honesty. So by all means read on. One of our greatest strengths as a nation is our tolerance for anyone's point of view. Otherwise the I found the book quite entertaining.

I cannot express how much books like this are needed.. our youth are entrenched in the government school system and never get anything remotely close to the truth about the horrors of big government. They must learn this so we can start shifting away from this cliff were approaching.
