How do you spell BRITTLE?,

While keeping six discs in the space it took to store one was my original intent. It was not my intention to buy something that shatters to small pieces at the slightest impact. Slight impact will break the disc holding clips as well as the center page mounting system. I've also had quite a few break when simply trying to open the cases. Use of a more resilient plastic would make these cases perfect but as they are, they pose a potential hazard to your discs.

excellent way to save on shelf space,

This standard-size DVD case holds six DVDs (or CDs, if you're so inclined). Two DVDs go where you normally find space for a booklet; one on one side of a swing-out middle section, one on the opposite tside; and two in the normal place where discs go.My only complaint is that in the two-disc sections of the case, the design ought to have allowed for one of the discs to sit a little bit higher than the other one. As is, they are on the exact same plane, which means that one disc has to actually be touching the underside of the other. This, of course, would be a VERY quick way to scratch your discs. What I recommend is that you simply slide a piece of tissue paper between the discs where they would otherwise be touching. That ought to prevent scratching. All in all, these cases are a great way to save on shelf space.

Atrocious Quality - Buy at your Own Risk,
By These are obviously third rate knockoffs of the originals, and the quality is simply atrocious. The spine on 3 of the 5 pack arrived so severely shattered and cracked that they went straight to the trash (Chasing a $5 refund is waste of time, energy, and more money in my opinion). Additionally, all of the middle twin retainer posts inside each spine were also broken on every single one, thus rendering the middle partition unusable (nothing for it to hold on to). Luckily I was able to cannibalize the middle divider for use with other older cases that had similar retainer posts. The design idea is a sound one, and again I have seen these manufactured correctly. However, like all "knock Offs" these are a poor, poor substitute for the genuine article. Buy at your own risk.

Pretty good bang for the buck here,

The great thing about DVDs is not only is the quality on them better then most things before it but they are thin and easy to store. But the real drawback is that most DVD cases are made to just hold one or maybe two DVD's at a time. This can become quite a problem especially if you have recorded a whole TV series or want to store a whole movie saga in a case together.A lot of the storage cases out there are just double or slim cases that look nothing like a typical DVD case. They don't allow for storing them in a typical DVD set up along with the movies you bought or box sets you have. That was until I found these cool 6 in one cases that are about the size of a regular DVD case and easily store up to 6 movies in a convient and neatly organized way. The price is right too and they come in sets of 5 making it an even better deal then it already is. This has made for more room on my shelves and much easier to store some of my similar themed DVD's together in one easily placed case on the shelf. The few drawbacks I would have of these cases are, the plastic is cheaper then you would find on a professional movie DVD case. Already I have had the tops of a few of them chip off as they hit other things. This didn't break the case at all just made for a little piece on the top corner break off. But I can live with it, as the case closes fine and it is almost expected with the price being paid for these. They aren't going to be made out of the top of the line materials. Also you do have to over lap the disks inside in some cases to get them to all fit so this may not be to your liking but again very minor as the disks are stored snugly and have been fine each time I have played them after storing them in these cases. If you are looking for a multi storage DVD cases these are the way to go. To get 5 at once is a deal you can't beat and to be able to store 6 at a time is even better. You can't find things like this easily in the stores and to those who have over filled shelves of DVD's they burned and made on their own, these will come in quite handy. Removing 5 extra cases suddenly on the shelf makes life much easier when managing a huge inventory. They may be a bit on the cheap side quality wise but so far I haven't had any major problems with them considering that is the case. Highly recommended.

All but one of five cases were broken when I received the packaging. I would never do business with this individual again. If you're looking for crappy dvd cases that're already broken when you receive them then I suggest you buy these.

Been Using These For Two Years,
By

I have been using these cases for two years. There are two things you must know.Firstly all the negative reviews are absolutely right --- the wall thickness of the plastic was made thin to accommodate six disks in the single disk form factor. The push in fingers that hold the disk inserts break upon repeated use. If you have a disk you watch very frequently you will have a problem. Secondly, all the positive reviews are absolutely right --- this is a fantastically compact storage arrangement that is way better to manage than those loose-leaf binders. So if you want to store seldom-viewed DVDs, minimize shelf space and maximize ease of retrieval it is a really terrific product. If you watch something every day, it probably will disappoint you. I'm back to buy twenty more. PS.... I just got the latest order and the design has been changed to alleviate previous faults. There now are two "loose-leaf" inserts and only one disk is stored on the inside face of each cover. It has a more robust feel although the wall thickness are unchanged. The live hinges that retain disks have been redesigned and have a more positive feel. The additional leaf makes the case 60% thicker which increases the shelf space. Time will tell as to whether the hinges hold up better. It's a better product. Who knows? Maybe someone reads this stuff.

this company uses either weak material or bad shipping packaging. when the package arrived, one of the dvd cases was broken inside its packaging and as a result, was unusable. not sure if it was a product issue or a shipping issue, but think twice before ordering this item just because of the free super shipper savings.

Very flimsy 5 pack. Glad I only ordered 5. One was damaged when it arrived. Another cracked after I had inserted all the dvd's and closed the case. You have to be super careful and for my purposes they are just not durable enough.
