These are competition style sights that are mostly made for quick target acquisition. But, they also have the distinct advantage of tritium inserts, so they can also be used in low light conditions.

If you are doing IDPA or whatever, if you are carrying your competition gun or you have your competition gun in your nightstand, I would highly recommend these.

The orange on the front sight is as bright as can be, in daylight. I have fiber optic sights that aren't as bright. It is really amazing; I can't stress that enough. The night sight functionality is also very good. If you are used to a 3 dot night sight, this will take a little getting used to, but it's actually easier and faster in the long run. The size and spacing of the rear sight is ideal. You really can't beat the price, either.

The only weakness is dawn/dusk. There's a certain point in time, just after the sun goes down or just after the sun starts showing, and for about 30 minutes after, that the sights are in limbo. Neither the orange front sight nor the night sights provide enough contrast. However, and it's a big however, no sights perform well at this time, at least none that I've ever seen.

I compete in IDPA, USPSA and 3-Gun. I use all Glocks, for my competition pistols. I'm also a big believer in consistency between CCW and competition. I mostly compete with a G34 and sometimes G19, but I carry a G19 or G26, all with identical mag releases, slide releases, triggers, etc. I am confident enough in these sights that I bought them for all 3, plus a fourth for a second G19 that I have. (Yes, I have two G19's; it's a long story.)

I'd also like to give a shout out to eCop!, in general. Currently, they are the only seller of this item.

As I've gotten older, the eyes aren't the same and I needed sights that were: 1. easy to pick up with rapid target acquisition; 2. in daylight and low light/night conditions; 3. without over-obscuring the relative point of impact. The iDot's met this criteria with flying colors. I have historically used conventional three-dot night sights but have found that a two-point sight like the iDot can be processed by the brain much faster and it's also far easier to keep the front sight on target.

I was a little reluctant to buy these after I've been shooting with 3-dot Trijicon HDs since they came out. I like these. I like them more. The larger rear notch allows you to better grasp what you're aiming as opposed to the Trijicon HD's which would completely cover the target. I was faster than I expected for my usage of a 2-dot setup, but I think I'll eventually be faster than the 3-dot.

These sights work well and are good value for the money. The sights are well made and have taken a beating and don't even look like they have. Reason for the 3 stars, only the front sight glowed and not very brightly. The rear tritium didn't work at all.

I've carried as a result of my profession for more than 15 years and have experimented with a lot of Glock sights. I installed the Pro I-Dot on my G4 Glock 19 and they might be my favorite carry sights so far. The orange front stands out in all light, even dusk. Once you lose enough light to make out the orange front the tritium n/s kick in.

The rear notch is a little wide but it works for fast target acquisition. These are combat sights, not bullseye/target sights. Easy to install with basic tools and construction is solid. I wish they would include the front sight nut driver but I had one so no big deal.

Keep in mind there is no "right answer"- you need to find a sight that works for you. If you need super bright for daytime applications look to fiber optic. If you like a lot of visual information, look at traditional 3-dot. If you like minimalist look at the Defoor blacked-out sights. Personally I've tried fiber, 3-dot, XS and these, and for me these are my favorite. Time will tell, of course, but I can highly recommend these based on my experiences so far. Oh, and it doesn't hurt at all that you're saving a nice little chunk of your paycheck compared to Trijicon HD's. :)

Overall a fantastic sight. Nice wide sight picture, the front sight orange ring is extremely fast to pickup (in lit conditions), the dot over dot night sight picture is fast to acquire. I have been shooting for 21+ years, I am a decent shot and yet I saw a dramatic improvement both in accuracy and speed of target acquisition when I installed these sights.

I agree with several posts that I read which indicated that the sights are more difficult to pickup in low-light (not enough light to illuminate the orange ring, not enough darkness to see the tritium); however the wide sight picture makes-up for this issue.

These are in fact outstanding for those of us who find our vision is "changing" with age (I now wear reading glasses so seeing my factory Glock sights was becoming an issue: not so with these).

I've had a number of sights over the years. Ranging from Ameriglo 3-dot's, XS Big Dots, Trijicons, Meprolights, Fiber optic, etc. plus factory sights. These are by far my favorite. Balance of speed and accuracy is about perfect for my tastes, The rear sight has a great ledge for one handed manipulation. The price is great. The tritium is very bright. I will be transitioning all my pistols to these when the budget allows. This guy did a very thorough review, can't really add much to it.> [...]
