Despite the high price tag, this text has rapidly become the favored reference for those interested in antiquities from Ecuador, particularly those of the Jamacoaque culture, which are currently quite popular among collectors. Unfortunately, the book was printed in Ecuador and is difficult to find in the U.S., especially editions with English text. Regardless, this is a fantastic book for anyone interested in the topic, although it greatly emphasizes photographs of antiquities over text describing the cultures themselves.
