I bought one of these for my father, who was having a problem hearing the phone when there was any background noise, such as the TV. It worked so well, that I'm now buying a second one for another room... to replace a MORE EXPENSIVE loud ringer! The ability to adjust the ringing patterns and volume is great, but what made all the difference for my Dad in hearing it.. is the ability to also change the pitch. This adjustment makes a HUGE difference for people having hearing problems with different ranges of sound. Product is simple to install/ set-up, followed by NO maintenance. Who could ask for more! It is an absolutely WONDERFUL product that I would recommend highly and without reservation.

This is a great ringer. It is louder than others and has a variety of pitches to choose from. I needed this for my aging mother who is hard of hearing. This is perfect. If there are hearing clinics or senior agencies looking for one, this is it!

We have tried several other ringers, that were not even close to the quality of this product. It allows you to pick different pitches, which is essential for the person needing to hear the ringer. Also, I was concerned that it would be too loud for others in the household, but that proved not to be a problem. Wonderful Product!

At 80 my hearing is poor. I HATE the very expensive hearing aids I have, and rarely use them. I missed many calls simply by not hearing the ring. NOW I HEAR it. I do NOT understand why the db rating is not posted in the specs of all these choices. I found another web sight that said this had a 100db rating. The packaging when it came said it was 95. Now that's what we need to compare. PUT THE DB RATING ON ALL THE ITEMS YOU HAVE FOR SALE THAT ARE SIMILAR. I would buy this again in an instant.

Placed this ringer in a large open shop and it is plenty loud. Has 4 volume settings. Also has 4 settings to control the speed of the "twitter" along with a slider to control the tone (low to high). You can practically match your existing phone's ring (though much louder).

The red light is fairly bright and glows as it rings. Comes with a 9 volt plug-in transformer and can take 4 AA batteries for backup power. My only knock was that it had a display-type sticker on the front that left a gluey mess.

Not very much louder than a standard telephone. Had to return and find a louder ringer.

Purchased this for my Dad who owns a garage. He could not hear the phone ringing when he has any type of machines running. He no longer has that problem!! This product is LOUD!! He also loves to see people jump and ask "what is that" when they hear it for the first time. Working great in a noisy environment. He loves it!!

My husband cannot hear an ordinary kitchen timer sitting on the table next to him. When we decided to get an extra loud one, he requested a loud telephone ringer as well. This is the one we purchased. The first time the phone rang after it was installed, he was in the next room. He remarked that the ringer was too loud and went and turned down the volume. I think it is a success!!

This ringer is as loud as an ordinary phone. I was very disappointed. I can only hear it if I'm in the same room. I was hoping for a ring I could hear in the next room.
