When I first found this item, I liked it but the review made me hesitating on buying it. I searched several other silimar ones and the shipping fee are too high. So I came back to this item and did a try. Fortuately, it is very nice. The un-painted areas are at the back edge, which would be covered by a back cover. So actually there is no un-painted areas seen after installation. It is great for both books and decoration. I am thinking on buying another one for another room.

I bought this bookshelf because it was difficult to find an entertainment center in my price range but in the end this is what I wanted. It holds every single one of my books, and I have over 100 books, with space left!!! The cubes are very wide both to the sides and front and this bookshelf looks very good in my room.

This product is exactly what we wanted and needed. Keep in mind that you are buying it from Amazon and so overall for the price you pay the product is GREAT, however it is not top of the line...but if you are looking to purchase something from here you most likely cannot afford top of the line prices. We love it and the description completely did it justice and the packaging was top-notch!
Assembling may take time and can be frustrating, but once it's together it looks great and feels sturdy.

It is okay. Will last a few years with care. One of the shelves though, was not finished on both ends so now I have to go to the store and buy dark stain and finish it. That is ridiculous!
