just bent my second Ames True temper spading fork in 48 hours........the tines are too week!; Mississippi Clay is tough; used to have a Bulldog Strapped fork bought through Smith & Hawkins before they were sold to Scott and the quality went to the devil!; wish I could order from England;just don't have time to deal with sorry tools..the hassle of having to go exchange them for another of the same brand; the delay and frustration not to mention the downtime and the fuel <grrrrrr>;

Good quality and a excellent value... Very close to one my father had 40 years ago.

I bought this instead of the "real" compost fork because it's cheaper and because the D-Grip makes it much easier to work with. It works great. I wish it were six inches longer so I didn't have to bend quite so far, but then I'm tall. For most people, it's probably a pretty good length.

Excellent product. Thick metal forks and a solid handle. Was perfect for my 5 yard mulch install.

I just developed an interest in gardening and this was one of the tools that I needed for my project.

I bought this same tool at Home Depot for the same price. The unit seems well-built and has the desirable squared tines. The ergonomics are also good, and it did everything I wanted it to do. I might have even over-abused the unit by trying to get under some heavy weeds and raise them. The handle stood up to this abuse with no signs of giving or stress. The only problem I have is that the plastic D-handle has now become loose. Not really loose but it definitely is not tight anymore. I think the hole where the metal rod goes through in the wood has become enlarged due to the constant up and down pressure that I placed on it. There is no way I can tighten the handle because I believe it is riveted on.

I used this tool to dig up and turn over a 20x4' area and this tool made quick work of the job. I was actually trying to do the job with a round-point shovel but I noticed it was taking too long. Once I bought this tool, the job was much easier and efficient. I actually have all Ames garden tools and they seem to be of the same quality as this fork.

If you are looking for a spading fork, I have no problem recommending this one. I just have to deduct one star because of the handle as I don't think it can be fixed and I don't think it should become loose even with the abuse I dealt it.

Overall, this is a great tool at a reasonable price.

Hunting Zombies is very tricky and you must have the best when taking out brains. With this ergonomically sound model i feel at ease; swinging to and fro pawning noob zombs.

The item arrived in the expected time and in perfect shape. I was thinking that this would be a pitch fork but it's a garden fork instead. I had to buy a pitch fork too. I will use it so it's not a loss in any way.

the size is right, but the fork is a little smaller than i thought. and i hate it that amazon lowered by $5 after i purchased it. amazon should bring back 30 days price match policy.
