I purchased this for my sister who has several tall citrus trees that bear large fruits that yearly wasted away b/c she was unable to retrieve them. After receiving this item, she now shares her bountiful produce by the bagfuls! The Fruit Picker allows easy harvest of fruits several feet higher with just a twist, and the basket can hold a couple of items at a time. The only challenge she has come across is as she is picking fruits, on occasion there will be that one stubborn lemon or orange that refuses to come off, and she has had to result to a yanking tug-of-war. On that rare circumstance the fruit picker was not able to achieve its goal. Overall, this item has permitted us to enjoy a generous portion of my sister's crops!

The extension handle works great for reaching high into the branches to harvest the fruit while standing on the ground. A good product for a reasonable price.

This device makes fast work of picking the fruit on my several varieties of fruit trees. Years ago I had one of these fruit hookers in Florida but left it there as I didn't want to cross a state line with a hooker.!

this is working very well and has gotten a lot of use already. arms get a bit tired at times but sure beats climbing the tree for those big juicy fruits!

The telescoping aluminum handle on my harvester is quite sturdy and well put together. There were several comments about the packaging. It is a difficult object to wrap but mine arrived in good condition. With the harvester I was able to reach apples on my apple trees which were in locations that I would not have been able to reach with ladders (or by climbing the trees). It can be difficult to get the basket properly placed through lower branches but the situation improves with experience. Catching the tines on branches can also be a problem but when all is said and done this tool will let you reach the unreachable. Go for it!

I bought this picker for my mother-in-law. She has a huge Haas Avocado tree and her old picker diidn't extend like this one. It works great and we get more avocados!

Perfect for apricots, peaches, and plums. Apples and pears are a bit difficult because you have to pick the fruit separating the stem, even when they're ripe. Extender is great for reaching higher.

I read about this fruit Harvester in Bon Appetit magazine and with an apple tree heavy with fruit I excitely ordered it. If you can hand pick your fruit, that is just the best way to go, but this is great for that top of the tree hard to reach produce. I was happy to be able to get the fruit, but I found the Harvester to be a bit hard to steady (just because I was holding it with my arms extended above my head). The only other trouble I had was when ripe fruit started falling to the ground when I used the harvester to pick. I'd get two apples in the harvester and 3 would fall to the ground (and bruise).
