As strong as plastic,

I ordered this because i got tired of the plastic snow shovels always breaking. I like the long handle which is secure to the scoop shaft reciever (for lack of a better term). The aluminum scoop however is not nearly as rigid/strong as I thought it would be. Perhaps my fault because I don't understand the different grades of aluminum. Therefore since it is thin it is light. It did work for soft snow but I don't know how well I can pry and chop frozen snow with it.
