Best tool I have ever used in my garden. I have heavy clay where I live and this tool works great in it. I have even used it to pry out rocks. I had a few other cheaper trowels but broke them while working in the clay. I bought this trowel and have never looked back. I can open mulch bags, cut small roots and cut string and twine. I love this thing. I would recomend it to anyone. I read that the other owner had one that broke on her. I have used it as a lever with a small rock under it to pry out larger rocks because I did want to go back to the shed and get a shuvel. It did not even bend. Great tool.

I've owned one of these for several years. I love it so much, I bought another this year because I'm terrified they'll stop making them someday.
All of the features work so well that it's basically the only tool I carry around with me while I work. The ruler, bag opener and weeding fork at the tip are all terribly useful and the handle feels quite comfortable in your hand. unlike many trowels, it feels like the metal on this one goes back some distance into the handle. I've never even had a moment's doubt that the shovel end would bend or break off, as happens with so many small shovels, and mine has definitely seen heavy use.

It broke on the first day.,

On the first day, the plastic at the 'hilt' snapped and separated from the blade. I was using it in soft, moist soil on a medium-sized weed using little force. I could exchange it but I think I will just return it and not waste my time on another.
