We needed a light weight and inexpensive wheelbarrow for yard work. This was just what I wanted. The only thing that would have made the item perfect would be a different kind of handle. My black lab loves to chew these type handles hence one reason that we had to buy another wheelbarrow. This item was easy to put together which is always a plus for me.

This wheelbarrow is great for light-duty yard work such as mulching, picking up leaves/branches, or moving dirt. It can even handle a load of crushed stone or about 30 bricks... however after a few years of use, the thin wooden handles degrade and eventually break. On mine, the break occurred where one of the assembly bolts passes through the handle - by far the weakest point and the point where the highest amount of stress occurs.

You can get this same item at Home Depot for thirty five bucks. The price is inflated on Amazon because they are going to get you for the shipping as this is a cumbersome item. So just stop by at Home Depot and pick this one up yourself.

I needed a wheelbarrow for a gardening project that became bigger and messier than I expected. I went to home depot and picked this one up because it was the cheapest one that they had. It is sold (or shipped) in three parts. You get a parts box which is not too big, the plastic bin itself, and the wooden handles.

Setup was fairly easy and I did it by myself. The only tool you will need is a 13mm socket.

The unit looks really good and the plastic bin is pretty strong and I don't think it would crack unless you seriously go out of your way to compromise it. I went ahead and loaded the bin to the brim with soil. Moving the wheelbarrow was surprisingly pretty easy. The wheel/tire can make or break a good wheelbarrow and the wheel on this unit is very good and navigates well through different terrain. I didn't have a problem with wobbling, any sense of imbalance, or moving from grass to concrete. The wheel is of good quality and certainly makes using this model very easy. Unloading is pretty easy too with a fluid up and down motion.

I did notice some flexing when fully loaded with heavy weight but then again I could have always made two trips. I wouldn't load this wheelbarrow up with that much weight on a regular basis as I think you could possibly break the unit. If I could change one thing, I would swap the plastic "levelers" (those black things that keep the red plastic bin level.) I would swap them with metal pieces because that would make the wheelbarrow at least twice as strong.
