I'm under 45 but my job requires me to sit for long periods of time where my toes would actually turn bluish and often resulting in stiff and swollen ankles. I don't have diabetes or anything else but I do have somewhat poor circulation. I did some research came across anti embolism stockings. I had a pair from when I had surgery some time back, they were thigh length so I cut them down to knee length just to see if they would work. Wow! what a world of difference. So I ordered a pair of these and even better! If you sit for long periods and suffer from swollen ankles or poor circulation, I strongly recommend checking with your doctor to see if these would be right for you! Ps. I had veins showing in my feet around the base of my foot and since I started wearing these, those have diminished by 50% or more. And no more stiffness or swelling!

My 90 year old mom likes these better than the Ted hose I got for her at a local pharmacy. She likes the tan color and that the knee length is slightly shorter and therefore much more comfortable.
