5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality - Price an extra bonus
There are lots of things I love about these stockings. First, I had a pair of knee-highs in a top-selling expensive brand before these (not sure I can name names hehe) and these are comparable in terms of how well they work. I think the 'brand name' ones were tighter but they both did a good job of keeping the swelling down. I've had these a few months now and they are...

3.0 out of 5 stars Go Without Toes!
I really like the results I get from these socks. My legs feel relaxed and they don't swell at all while I wear them. However, they slowly tighten around the toes. The socks are designed with a special pocket of no pressure, but it doesn't do much good. After an hour the toes are nearly stretched as tight as the rest of the sock. I've had to stop using these, but I...

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality - Price an extra bonus, September 18, 2010

There are lots of things I love about these stockings. First, I had a pair of knee-highs in a top-selling expensive brand before these (not sure I can name names hehe) and these are comparable in terms of how well they work. I think the 'brand name' ones were tighter but they both did a good job of keeping the swelling down. I've had these a few months now and they are also comparable to the other one in terms of durability. As a Black person though, the biggest plus for me is the colour. I don't remember the shade I had in the other brand but it was the closest I could get and it was still really obvious. I only wore them because I had to. But I got the Taupe in these and they can pass for regular stockings. Obviously, if you look closely the texture is not the same as regular stockings but I dont feel self-conscious in these at all! ... and last but not least, the price - because I wear these for medical reasons I guess I would have paid whatever price I had to, but the cost of these just sweetens the deal :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Reduced swelling, May 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My OB recommended support hose during my pregnancy which I was determined not to get, but these were a god send for me. I had serious swelling the last couple of months where I had elephant feet that never went away until after the baby was born. These along with a foot rest helped me to make it thru the day with less swelling and therefore less pain. If you have swelling or are on your feet all day, I recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these!, January 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love these socks. I purchased them when I was about 7 1/2 months pregnant because I was working on my feet about 6-8 hours a day. My feet were badly swollen and couldn't even fit into some of my shoes. These socks definitely helped me to fit into my shoes again and slightly brought my swelling down. I was worried about the sizing chart but it ended up being completely accurate!

5.0 out of 5 stars 15-20 Support Knee High, April 1, 2011

The price was excellent, and the product is outstanding. My Mom needed these hose for everyday use to offset her frequent fluid retention. These stockings do their job; she loves wearing them because they are lightweight, yet supportive. There are many color options, so she has a choice. The company shpped them to us extremely fast.

I've had to stop using these, but I have gotten more AMES support socks, just without toes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fanastic Support, August 10, 2011

This review is from: Ames Walker Style 16, 15-20 mmHg Firm Support Knee High - Available in Various Sizes and Colors
These knee highs are wonderful. They provide the compression needed to keep my edema in check and at a fanastic price. They are easy to put on and are very comfortable.

I was very suprised that they came up to my knee even when the swelling made my lower legs twice as large. Normally, the knee highs do not fit this well

Since I have been wearing these daily, I no longer have to take lasix to keep the swelling down and I could not been any happier

I would recomend these to any who suffers from edema of the legs

I work twelve hour shifts and my legs were begining to get varicose veins and they ached and throbbed. This product has made a huge difference. I love them and wear them every night I work. I also read they were great for pregnancy. I would definetly recomend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product, BUT, August 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a good product to help reduce swelling in the legs. But, the top of the sock will roll and it is so tight that it can make the skin sore there and may require some medicine on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compressiom Stockings, August 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was in the hospital with a hip resurfacing and developed a blood clot in my Arm where the "pic-line" had been. Both of my feet and legs were swollen. My Dr advised mr to get some compression stocking, and I chossed the knee-hi"s. I received them in 3 days, and they really help the swelling. I love the colors that they have, and would reccommend this site to all.
