these work very well and are extremely durable. slightly more opaque then usual, but perfectly fine, and they control edema very well. leave some extra time to get dressed, since they are VERY tight and it takes a while to get them on.

I've had to use compression hosiery for both of my pregnancies and these are QUALITY!
They do exactly what I needed them to do and they more than lasted being washed every other day. I was able to pass them on to someone else!

My first pair of maternity stockings were from Fit Rite, and were less expensive. They were good, but I thought maybe a more expensive brand would fit better around the belly. These Ames Walker stockings claimed to have a non-compressing waist. This is not true. I got the larger size as I was on the border on the size chart. It is just as bad if not worse around the waist. Plus, these ripped while I was putting them on, after only 2 weeks of use. My fit rite ones have not ripped after a month of use. I still wear the Ames Walker ones as I just put clear nail polish on the rip. But I would certainly buy the Fit Rite ones again as they are less expensive and work just as well if not better. I don't understand why maternity stockings don't account for a pregnant belly!
