Tiger in the Rain - Excellent,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ametora (Audio CD)
UA is currently the most versatile J-POP-singer on the island. She is convincing both in jazzy slows and rocking tunes. Since listening to her "Milktea" my tea tastes better, indeed. Add to this a whole bunch of exceptional musicians and you get a blend that is worth international attention. She is currently on a house-reggae trip. I am impatiently awaiting her new album release in November 1999.

Better than J-Pop,

This review is from: Ametora (Audio CD)
I've never found J-pop appealing, so I had to overcome that bias in approaching this CD, but it is a wonderful disc, in turns playful, haunting and angry, but always beautiful and lyrical. Very worthwhile!

Smooth, soulful, jazzy, and accomplished,

This CD by a Japanese recording artist is appealing not only because of the increbible professionalism of all involved, but the voice and artistry of the singer is extremely satisfying. Not exactly J-Pop, or soul, or jazz, its all these combined in a rare find.
