I've seen these guys play some pretty small bars and coffee shops back in the DMV, even noticed them at two different Jr. Gong shows enjoying the shows and to see them with Jr. Gong on their album is great. But they've earned it with many great albums throughout the years and this new one is no different. The sound is a bit more evolved from previous work but they've always been trying to expand their sound so it's nice to see them grow as a band so. This is its own album and not a clone of any other of theirs, except in great reggae with conscious lyrics.

5.0 out of 5 stars What you'be been waiting for August 30, 2014

Love this new album! While my favorite album is still Peace in a Time of War, this album seems like the one I've been waiting for since Peace. It's catchy, flows well and has amazing guest artists. Musically and lyrically, it gives you a lot, can't wait to see them live again. One of the best acts to see live!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Album Yet! August 26, 2014

All I can say is wow! Soja keeps amazing my imagination with new beats and lyrics that keep you constantly thinking about staying positive, getting back to nature, and doing our best to love on another no matter what our differences. This is the kind of music everyone should listen to and the mentality we could only dream everyone would have. Tear it down, Shadow, and Translation of One are my absolute favorites on this album, but I enjoy all of them. Soja has put another amazing album out while continuing to spread the same message they have since day one. One Love

5.0 out of 5 stars SOJA is back! September 5, 2014

Started listening to SOJA with "Born in Babylon". I wasn't a big fan of SOJA's "Strength to Survive" album, but I am very pleased with their latest album "Amid the Noise And Haste"... I'm not sure I can articulate why, so I won't even try - which makes for a pretty crummy review, and I'm sorry for that. All I can contribute is this: if you were at all disappointed with "Strength to Survive", give them another shot...I'm glad I did!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ay yo den! August 18, 2014

Great album. Full of conscious lyrics from a band who's proven to be just as alive as the rest of us with their ever-growing sound. A tremendous work which draws on all SOJA's best-executed styles including DC go-go, a Latin breakdown, and some good roots reggae. There is much more to this album than just the pre-release tracks!
