5.0 out of 5 stars Hats off to Cloanto for a collection available nowhere else, June 8, 2006

This review is from: Amiga Forever Video Edition (DVD)
This is so much more than just a collection of Amiga bits and pieces; it's a collection of some commercial ones (History of the Amiga and 'The Deathbed Vigil' are out-of-print releases for VHS) plus a number of extremely interesting promotional and interview bits that You, Sir, Have Almost Certainly Never Seen.

It's amazing that some of the best Amiga documentary information is coming out now, 12 years after the collapse of Commodore. Consider this the video accompaniment to Brian Bagnall's comprehensive "On the Edge: the Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore."

DVD 1:

Launch of Amiga (1985, 17')
Inside Commodore (1988, 40')
Jay Miner Speech (1989, 49')
Jay Miner Interview (1990, 9')
History of the Amiga (1992, 43')

DVD 2:

The Deathbed Vigil (1994, 118')
Dave Haynie Interview (2001, 55')
Amiga Faces Picture Gallery (1988-2005, 50')
Additional DVD features and details:

Region 0 (all regions)
CSS-free (no encryption)
Video content in NTSC format (as in the original footage, also compatible with most PAL DVD players, including 100% of those tested by us in 2005)
Dual-layer (i.e. about 9 GB each)
Glass-mastered (no recordable media)
Menus and subtitles in English and Italian

Note: These DVD's were originally included as part of Cloanto's "Amiga Forever Premium Edition" software emulator package.

5.0 out of 5 stars Do you know AMIGA? This is the history about the best computer ever build..., June 7, 2006
This review is from: Amiga Forever Video Edition (DVD)
Do you know AMIGA? This is the history about the best computer ever build. You have to see this, even if you never heard about this great computer system or even if you are a normal pc-user. ;)

After you have seen this videos, you will ask you, why I have to use Windows (in a world without gates). :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding footage of the Amiga Days, June 8, 2006
This review is from: Amiga Forever Video Edition (DVD)
This DVD set has some incredible footage from the early Amiga days. I really enjoyed watching the launch of the Amiga and interviews with the creator of the Amiga, Jay Miner. If you once owned an Amiga and want to know more about what was going on behind the scenes, this is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fab Retro Computing, June 7, 2006
This review is from: Amiga Forever Video Edition (DVD)
Very polished & very happy with the videos. Some brought tears or joy & sadness to my eyes. Right from the start you are transported back to the feelings of pure excitment that the home computer scene brought about. This was the time that you single handedly created true multi-media not downloaded someone's canned work or some MS wizard abortion. The history covered is such an important part of computing. Finally it is memoralized in this classic set of DVD's
A must have, to all the team at Cloanto THANK YOU !!!

5.0 out of 5 stars When computers were cool, September 20, 2007
This review is from: Amiga Forever Video Edition (DVD)
This lets you run the Amiga on your PC or Mac, even loads as a Linux Live CD if desired. Relive one of the greatest computers in history. Still has a passionate loyal following to this day.
