I love love love crocheting and making toys. I've been making stuff for as long as I can remember, and I have to thank my neighbor Marta in Montevideo, Uruguay, for teaching me how to crochet when I was little, I think 6 or 7, sitting outside one Summer.
Now I have all these dumb dreams of crocheting endless "group effort" afghans or huge families of toys with my girls... I bet you they'll hate it! :p

I bought the first book by Ana Paula Rimoli and I liked it, but this book I LOVE! The patterns are adorable! There are some fantastic ideas in here. There is a baby mobile, a stroller toy, and baby rattle toys...robots!!! The pieces de résistance is a birthday cake to crochet!

The patterns are still pretty easy to follow so if you are a beginner you can easily do most of these projects. Most of them are very quick to crochet too. I just got this book the other night and with the yarn I had on hand I was able to do the small koala.

I like how there are a variety of projects in here and not just different animals to crochet. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to crochet and would like to do a small craft project this is one of the best books out there.

Rimoli has an esty website and a blog you can take a look at some of her other patterns not available in either of her books. If you can only buy one of Rimoli's books I would recommend this book over her other amigurumi book (unless you like the animals better in the other book) just b/c there is more variety of projects in this book whereas the other book just has animals to crochet. Awesome book!

Ana Paula's adorable designs and simple patterns make it easy for even a beginning/intermediate crocheter to produce fun, artful amis in just a few days. Her first book, "Amigurumi World", helped me rediscover crochet, which I learned about 20 years ago. Inspired by the designs in this book, my own daughters, 9 and 7, are learning to crochet from me! This is a great project book to share with your family. "Amigurumi Two" does have more complicated patterns than the first book, so be sure you have enough practice before attempting this series. BTW, I made the birthday cake for my son's 3rd birthday last week, and he loves it! You won't be disappointed.

This is my first review...I have bought alot of books from Amazon and a lot of craft books, but this is one of the best I've gotten. Very simple to follow, great and easy to follow patterns, good pictures. And the animals and toys are just TOOO cute! If you like to crochet and you like to make little toys, you've got to get this book! Worth it!
