I have waist-length hair and it only took 10 minutes to straighten! I got many compliments on how shiney and soft my hair was. The best thing though, is even after being out in the wind and the local bars, I was still able to run a brush through it with no problems! I usually don't do anything with my hair because it takes too long and it ends up feeling like straw, but the Amika changes everything!

I was a little skeptical when I first ordered this flat/curling iron because I have never heard of this brand before and nor have I seen it at vendor stands in malls, but boy am I glad I did it now! This beauty works like a charm! It straightens out my whole head of hair within 5 minutes! No kidding, because it gets hot within seconds of plugging in and glides so smoothly through all of my hair. This Amika iron also does a great job with curls! Although I have failed miserably at curling my own hair (haven't mastered it yet because I haven't had much practice), it did a wonderful job curling my cousin's locks and gave her nice waves. Overall, I am really happy with this purchase, especially for the it's sold at, it really performs to my standards. Comes with 2 hair clips and a cute box! Also, I was sent some hair shampoo, but it spilled all over my ups box =/ Other than that...love it!

I bought the trio set and it came with the curling iron and a travel straighter along with the 1.5 inch straighter in purple. I loved this straighter for about a month I used to to curl my hair often which I thought was to hard with the actual curling iron. It dropped on our carpet ONCE and the ceramic plate chipped in the corner. The next day I turned it on figuring since its only the corner, but the made it completely shatter. in a long crack down the middle. My hair gets caught in the thin crack, if I try to use which i have since I spent so much money on the set,that I was really hoping I could somehow still possibly use it.... Well obviously that did not happen. And my straightener has also started to get black on the color part. I am not sure why, its almost as if I have rubbed black ink all over it. the plates never changed colors but the plastic did. Over all I am very disappointed with this product. If they are going to make sure a fragile product then customer service should at least get back to you. I gave it 2 stars because for that month it was amazing, but a month worth of nice hair does not make up for the 3oo I spent on the set.

This is a great straightener. Two years ago my daughter wanted one after getting a free consultation in the mall. She loved the way her hair looked. They wanted over $100 and said it retailed for $250. I was not willing to fork over that kind of money. I went online and found the one she wanted (zebra) for $50 and gave it to her for Christmas, 2009. Last year I started using it and fell in love. It gives your hair beautiful shine and doesn't grab like others I've tried. After she went away for a week and took the straigtener with her and my hair looked horrible all week, I purchased one. I use it everyday and LOVE it.

I live in Australia. I have used a GHD for about 10yrs and thought that it was the best straightener ever. Until I used the amika..... I have found my hair to be softer and more healthier. It straightens very similar to the ghd but possibly a little bit smoother. Very solid made tool, very pleased with purchase. Bought it through sfr products.

I have to say that I've tried it all. But who hasn't... When you get to the point where you're even considering spending over $100 on a flat iron it's obviously for a reason; that being everything else is junk. This iron makes my hair look and feel amazing. I have super long hair and have never been able to get the ends to look good. Naturally my hair is wavy and it always curled up at the ends no matter what I tried. This iron is ready in a few minutes and it takes no time to get a flawless straight look. It's the best hair product purchase I've ever made. You won't be disappointed.

Very cute cheetah design. Flat iron is not slippery and feels sturdy and strong. I flat iron my hair without using additional oils and lotions. The Amika flat iron brings out the natural oils in my hair and leaves it shiny and bouncy all day. I do recommend this product to everyone.

I am very happy with my purchase. I have extremely thick and curly hair and this product straightens it in half the time of regular straightners. My order arrived quickly and I also received a free gift with it. (Thank you!) I highly recommend this product and company!

The Amika Straightener was shipped and in good condition. The problem i have with DLN Enterprises the straightner stopped working and i tried to contact them and i NEVER heard back from them. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN.

I've had my giraffe straightener for about a year and a half and it's worked great but it tends to leave me with bad split ends, but most importantly I dropped it off of the bathroom counter and a chunk of the ceramic plate broke off. Today my cat knocked it off of the counter and the other plate shattered. I'll never spend this kind of money on such a fragile product again!
