I havn't had any troubles with the wire handle bending like the cheap ones from walmart and the leather is good thick quality material.

I love this fly swatter, and I feel that it's a product that will last a long time, as it is made of leather. I have to confess that, because it is heavier than the all plastic ones, it is a bit slower to swat, and it might take a little time to get use to. I'm very satisfied with it and recommend it to anyone who is tired of repeatedly buying fly swatters that easily fall apart. Built to last.

Leather is good, but too heavy for the handle. The handle bends when you try to use it. The handle should be stronger.

I was fed up with the flimsy plastic fly swatters and how hard it was to find a fly swatter in a store. Enter the Amish fly swatter. This thing works great. It is made out of a sturdy leather and packs a good punch. I have swatted large hornets mid-flight and it stunned them with no issue. The wire handle is similar to a coat hanger but not as rigid. It can bend if you put too much pressure on the swatter but can easily be bent back into shape. Also this swatter doesn't get grody like the plastic ones. I assume because it is black - the bug gut bits are not visible. :)

This may very well be the best fly swatter I've ever used. The leather is nice and seems to kill flies real easy. One of the problems I've had with other fly swatters is the design of them allows flies to sometimes "escape" through the holes when you try to swat them. This fly swatter has tiny holes in it but not big enough for the fly to "escape" through it when you swat it. The only problem I have with this swatter is the handle seems to bend a little to easily. You can twist it a little and bend it but that's not a big enough problem to make me give this fly swatter less than 5 stars. Excellent product and I love the leather.

do you have a fly in your house even though your windows are all sealed, what trickery is this? the amish don't normally have sealed windows but when they do and a fly magically transports into their log cabin abodes they use the best fly swatter they can create using nothing more than cow hide and too thin steel coat hanger wire. just like mcguyver. the flappy part of this swatter is pretty heavy, some people like me would say perhaps its too heavy for the thin metal handle its attached to. so, why did i give it five stars? because i like to support the amish tinkerers, imagine what they might create 500 years from now when it becomes ok to use the pocket calculator.

It does the job and the leather is sturdy. Sure the handle is a bit flimsy by comparison, but it's not bad. However,I'm a bit concerned at what they used to dye the leather black, as I am noticing that I have a fly-swatter-shaped black mark on my white ceiling. I wish they had used natural/un-dyed leather as a result.

Everything is great about this product except the handle needs to be MUCH stronger. The concept of using leather for the actual swatter is great as it doesn't break like the plastic swatters.

The handle bends every time you swat because it's as thick as coat hanger wire and the head is heavy because it's leather. It looks pretty cool, like something a dominatrix would use, other then that I don't see a good use for it.
