When I was young, my great aunt used an ointment she got from the Royal Coffee salesman for everything from muscle pain to pneumonia! I have not been able to find anything that worked as well since that company went out of business until I found Amish Origins Deep Penetrating Relief Ointment. Thank You!!! It works fantastic on my arthritis!

AMISH ORIGINS DEEP PENETRATING PAIN RELIEF 3.5oz Is Amish Origins' formula really from 1933 as advertised??? The manufacturers of Amish Origins (Pro 10 Originals) was sued in federal court over trademark infringement in 2010 for using the Unker's name on their product. At that time they claimed it was the same formula, etc. and it was proven not only is it not the same formula but it is not manufactured in the same way as Unker's. After the lawsuit, they changed the name to Amish Origins but continue to use our brand history. In Court documents the owner of Pro 10 stated he did not have the original Unker's formula (which is derived from my great-uncle's 1933 salve formula) so where did his 1933 come from?

I am the 2nd generation of the family owned Unker's products and I know the history. I use to help my great-uncle make his salve when I was a child. I do not know where Amish Origins' formula comes from, but I do know they have been using the "1933" date since they infringed on our Unker's brand name around 2001. Because Unker's is a modified version of my uncle's 1933 formula and not a duplicate or original, we do not even mention that date to avoid misleading/false advertising. I am not stating Amish Origins is not a good product - I have no idea, I am only clarifying fact as they pertain to Unker's products. Thank you, Patricia Pendleton, Owner/CEO, Unker's Multi-Purpose Therapeutic products

For years my husband had complained of knee pain - arthritis - and although we tried various products and methods, Amish Origins was the most effective in relieving his pain. I applied it to his knees daily.

It was so effective on him that I began to use it on my own knee, to help a problem I've had since I was 10. I find that I have to reapply after a few hours but that's okay because during that time the pain is considerably reduced.

And just the other day the painter commented about sore back muscles following hours of working on the stairway ceiling prep. The results lasted most of the day for him. We were both impressed.

The product's ingredients seem to combine synergistically to be quite effective, albeit aromatic...which is why it can also be used for colds and congestion.

As a matter of fact I was just looking for sites with Amish Origins so that I could send information about the ointment to a friend who bemoaned that fact that nothing helped her arthritis joint pain. It was then that I pulled up this Amazon page. I'll be sending this link to her.

There are no claims now that this product was made by any other company than Amish Origins although that company name has only been in existence since 2010. Despite the Amish Origins-Unker's feud, their products are not the same formulation.

I purchased our jar at a local health products store and the price on Amazon is comparable and very reasonable. Good product, good results, good price.

July 2013
I've now used both Amish Origins and Unker's, I understand the feud and appreciate its implications but this is a better product...at least for my needs.

I buy this in quantity! It works better than anything you can buy over the counter. Having spine surgery my back often hurts and this does the trick.

My 9 month old had Bronicalitis and we rubbed this all over her feet at night before bed and it helped her sleep without coughing, also opened up her stuffy head and made her run like a faucet! Highly recommend if you have kids, not sure about the pain relief but it works so much better than vicks at opening up little sinuses.
