I was lucky enough to find this toy at a garage sale and thought it was the cutest thing I have ever seen, especially when you push the button and the horse whinnies. The only problem is that my two year old does not weigh very much and therefore can't get it to move...I found that you have to put quite a bit of weight on it and then release that weight almost completely to get it to "ride" which may be difficult for very young toddlers...this horse may be perfect for a three year old or so though! Too Cute!

My daughter is 3 and a half and 34 pounds. She is unable to get the horse moving very far, its legs flatten out. We have ajusted the spring action to its maximum. She dose love her horse but does not ride it. It may work better with a child who weighs less. If I could, I would return the horse. The operational directions are poor. If I had had one as a child, as so many of the reviewers listed had, then perhaps I would be able to help my daughter. The reviews here sold me on the horse and that is way I felt I needed to share our experience.

I have a three year old who absolutly loves this horse. He plays cowboy and rodeo. Its nice to see it dosen't take a 300$ high tech toy to have fun.

I received my Marvel Horse in August 1974 for my 4th birthday and still have him and photos of me riding him around the house on the hardwood floors. What fun I had. The best toy I ever had! The only toy I really remember! I'm so glad Marvel the Mustang is still around for children to enjoy. I had hoped to pass my Marvel on to my children one day, but unfortunately due to a spinal cord injury I probably won't ever have children. But at least I know that when there is a special child in my life, I can give the greatest gift - Marvel. Great riding for children who have lots of energy and love horses.

I recieved a Marvel the Mustang for Christmas when I was 5 yrs. old and I'm 34 now. I just loved it. I thought they didn't make it anymore but I saw one on a shelf and was so glad to see that they were still around. I rode mine till I was so big I no longer fit on it. I just loved playing with it.

I speak from personal experience when rate this toy 5 stars...I had a Marvel Mustang myself at least 30 years ago & I never forgot the fun I had & the love I had for that toy! I rode the *trails* for hours at a time, along with my cousin & her pony ("pinto" the pony ther other type also sold then). I am thrilled to see it back & I am ordering my child one for Christmas, so she can love it as much as I did.

My dad got this for my niece's first birthday. She was thrilled to death, and loved riding the pony. She also liked pushing the button to hear the "whinny". The only thing that made me nervous was the rein. You might want to remove this because I think a small child could get wrapped up in it!

Our son who is 31 years old had Marvel the Mustang when he was young. He enjoyed it so much. It was great for a young active boy. He felt just like he was riding a horse. Marvel never broke. Wish we had kept the original one. Now I look forward to our grandson having the same toy. Thank you "Back to Basics!

I loved this horse when I was a child, and actually it belonged to my cousin and best friend that I played with everyday. She never really played with it, but I sure did. I thought it was the greatest, and even though I never got one of my own, I felt like her Marvel belonged to me. Now I want my 2yr old to have the toy that I loved as a child and never forgot. I just hope I can find it in stock somewhere soon.

I rode my own Marvel the Mustang about 27 years ago. I spent hours cruising around our house with my favorite equine. I'm happy to see that this toy is available so I can share it with younger members of my family.
