Product Description

The +Ammex exam-grade stretch vinyl, powder-free glove has a palm thickness of 4 mils and a finger thickness of 6 mils and is 9.5" long from the tip of the middle finger to the edge of the beaded wrist cuff, which is 3 mils thick. It is suitable for the healthcare industry and for use in non-surgical medical procedures. Stretch vinyl is more flexible than vinyl, is suitable for applications requiring frequent changing, and reduces the likelihood of allergic reaction, but is not suitable for use in wet environments or when exposed to abrasion, chemicals, and high temperatures. This glove has a smooth surface on the palm and fingers for tactile sensitivity. This powder-free glove leaves no residue, reducing the risk of contamination compared to a powdered glove, making it suitable for use in electronic components, forensic, and laboratory applications. This ambidextrous glove is beige.

This glove has a minimum tensile strength of 15 megapascals (MPa) before aging and 15 MPa after aging. Tensile strength, measured in MPa, is the amount of force required to rip a glove; the higher the number, the stronger the glove material. This glove has an elongation of 450% before aging and 450% after aging. Elongation measures how much a glove can be stretched before it breaks. It is expressed as a percent of the original length of the glove at the moment of breakage; the higher the percent, the more the glove can stretch. This glove has an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of 1.5, which means that the defect level from a large sample of the gloves will not exceed 1.5%. AQL is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) quality specification for the defect rate in surgical and exam gloves. The FDA requires an AQL of 1.5 for surgical gloves and 2.5 for exam gloves.

Disposable and limited-use gloves are used in medical, forensic, scientific, food service, and industrial applications. Disposable gloves are commonly made from flexible materials such as latex, nitrile, chloroprene, and vinyl. While most disposable gloves are designed for use on either hand, some can be purchased in hand-specific models. They are offered powdered or powder-free; silicone or silicone-free; chlorinated or non-chlorinated; coated or uncoated; with a standard- or extended-length cuff; sterile or non-sterile; and with textured or smooth fingers, fingertips, and palms. A glove's abrasion, cut, and puncture resistance are defined by glove material and thickness, and may be improved with the use of exterior coatings. Abrasion resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from contact with rough surfaces. Cut resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from blades and sharp instruments. Puncture resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from objects such as needles. Chemical resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from certain chemicals, and varies by glove material. For information on the chemical resistance of this glove, consult the manufacturer's chemical resistance guide.

Ammex distributes medical and industrial products such as gloves, first aid supplies, face masks, and other protective coverings. The company, founded in 1988, is headquartered in Kent, WA.

These gloves are the type of material that I wanted, but they run way too small. Otherwise, they seem like a good product. Just make sure you order 2 sizes bigger than you think you should wear.

It's a box of vinyl gloves. No holes we could find. They don't break if you pull them on quickly or pick up a paintbrush or sanding block. Thus far we have not caught the evil flu that's going around and I ride the bus every day. I actually have a pair of these in the bottom of my tote for when urban life gets germy and there's no way to sanitize the bus terminal before I hang around it.

These are great gloves. They are fitting and have good stretch. My only problem with them is the sizing. I don't wear a medium and usually large is slightly a bit too big. So I ordered large in these. They do tend to pull a little across the knuckles and inbetween the fingers. I should have gotten the xlarge. Maybe these gloves come a bit different than most. But they have been very useful to me as they are. So I give them a yes, buy them, they are a good thing.

I am not sure where glove manufacturers get their definition of sizes, or maybe they'really just getting cheap, but I'm a nurse. I had to quit working as a bedside nurse about 15 yr ago due to my health, & went into IT, nursing, & general hospital training as an educator. I got too sick to work at all 6 yr ago. This should give you a time frame.
I didn't notice any decrease of size when I did nursing training & we ran out of small gloges...extra larges were so huge on me that they left nearly 2" at my fingertips & so wide I could put 2 fingers in 1 glove finger with room to spare.
I got these for our son & I tried them on myself. They are NOT EXTRA LARGE. They are stretchy (barely) so he can wear them, but they are tight on him. When he was a little younger, I took him to "take your children to work day" & once, we were learning something that required the use of gloves. The XL were a great fit, even a tad loose. His hands haven't gotten any larger, but these glover are a very snug fit. So, over the time since I started nursing school in the mid 70s & now, glove sizes stayed mostly the same, until I got too sick to keep working 6 years ago, then suddenly the sizes went down that far? In.six years??? I have a very small hand. Thry'RE a tiny bit large on.me "

I bought those for my husband to use for dirty jobs and for our first aid packages in the car and backpacks. They are latex free, so won't create issues w/ other people. the sizing is true and the price was right.

Wasn't sure because of the reviews but took a chance, I wear medium so I ordered medium. Perfect sizing. Not cheap, don't rip easily. I will continue to buy these.

Just what I needed. I use these when I am preparing food such as salad that I will be serving to guests, and also when preparing meatloaf, etc.
