An interesting book, but ultimately,

It's really just a textbook. Hall describes the various aspects of culture and intercultural communication in a series of chapters designed to give students a unique insight into what happens in the world of diversity. It's an interesting book that has it's flaws-despite the talk about anti-stereotyping, Hall ends up doing it anyways, but these flaws hardly detract from the wealth of information in here. I wouldn't recommend this book for bedtime reading, but you should probably be glad if your teacher assigns it for a class.

I got this book for a multicultural communications class. It is interesting to read about certain concepts which the author dissects and labels, but it is a very hard read. I can usually ignore distractions, but this book requires all of my concentration. Sometimes I have to read a sentence a couple of times before I understand the information. Let's just say that this author does NOT use plain English, so keep a dictionary handy.

This book uses lots of little stories to present its messages. I found this to be a great way to learn about the topic.

Interface: Poetry and Selected Readings, Volume One, 2010
This book is an average introduction to cultures book. The fonts is somewhat small and you may need reading glasses. There are a lot of definitions which is good. Informative for the beginner but I feel that the price should be dropped. Somewhat costly.

This is an excellent book for students venturing into the field of intercultural communication. Clearly written, with many engaging case studies and examples. As a student, I found it very helpful.

Perhaps I shouldn't be entering a review, because I never received this book. I ordered it about a month and four days ago, and nothing. Hm, I should probably look into getting my money back. Word of advice: Don't order books from the UK unless you actually live there.
