Great News for readers of this great book,,,as of July 2002, Eddie Morin(son of the author Raul Morin) has re-applied for a copyright on the book and he is working with the GI Forum to get this important book back on the shelves and will include new information and perhaps new pictures...Stay Tuned!!! ...lets do what we can by generating support and interest in this book that has gone out of print for far too long

This review is from: Among the Valiant: Mexican-Americans in Ww II and Korea (Hardcover)
This book tells the story of Mexican-American soldiers who gave their lives for their country in WWII and Vietnam. (Many fought in Korea too.) A large number were awarded the Cogressional Medal of Honor. Unfortunately their contributions have been purged from popular movies and current best selling books about Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. This book is long overdue.

This book is one of the best books available when trying to find about the heroism that mexican americans showed during world war 2, sadly it is out of print, yet it was a great book, worthy of reading

True reflection of the over representation of Mexiccan Americans in combat. A shame movies, tv shows, etc. never portray this.
