And absolutely beautiful storyline, and very real. This story will make you really think about what true love is. How love comes unexpectedly, loves potential challenges, appreciating real love....forgiveness, and realization that love brings. This story will make you appreciate love, respect its power, and think twice about losing it foolishly. Very moving, especially the unexpected finale. Brothers should see this movie. Sisters should see this movie. Couples need to see this movie...whether your love is strong, or your still trying to define, and find your way. The premier sister in this movie delivers a powerful message. Great Movie!!!

In the days, where blackfolks have to be thumping and bumping all over the screen, to get attention...Somebody, anybody, everybody's gotta get shot at or drugged up... or its Amos and Andy Y2k :-))..I thought this movie was a very pleasant surprise. It was mature look at a situation that many young black folks find themselves in. Unmarried, a parent, trying to maintain employment, trying to find love, these are real situations. The brother in "Amour Infinity" is a part of his son's life and is responsible too. A positive black male, now that's refreshing. I really, really enjoyed this movie and thought it was well written and the people were not just caricatures. I would recommend it highly to those filmwatchers who enjoy dialogue, a good storyline and a jazz flavored soundtrack. A couple of scenes that needed more work but over all, surely a movie that black folk can be extremely proud of.

This movie was not bad compared to the deluge of independent Black Movies that have recently flooded the market. The lead actor does an okay job (being this is his acting debut) but the lead female character was dry as the Mojave desert, she could use some work on her craft. The story line is a simple and familiar one, but a true story line which is why this one had a real message. There was no Hollywood love will conquer all ending as we see in most movies, and the man not only doesn't get the girl, but walks away from her in the end.... And that is real people, this is what usually happens in Love and War!!!

amour Infinity is one of the best independent black movies I've ever seen. ... I think Jerry Lamothe is one of the most talented newcomers in the game.... He shot this film on digital for next to nothing. I'm one of the many fans who can't wait to see his next movie next year called, "From The Outside Looking In' starring Isiah Washington, Mos Def, Allen Payne and Terrence Howard. You go boy!

Amour Infinity is the best of its kind. The DVD is real. As an independent movie I am sure Jerry did not have much to work with. He did a great job. Amour Infinity is not Just a black nor American story, it is very international. Any one in the world can relate to it. Amour Infinity deserve 5 stars.

I remember viewing this film on TV One years ago. I was so moved by it that I made sure to record it on VHS when it aired again. I took my tape over to a friend's house to let her watch it. Fast forward a few years later, she still has my movie and we lost touch. I also could NOT for the life of me remember the name of the film. After mastering my Google skills, I FINALLY stumbled across the title of this film on a website after scrolling down to the comments section (good thing I did that). I felt so goofy that I did not find this movie sooner, but relieved that someone else thought enough about this diamond in the rough to list it as one of their favorite independent films.

I know I rambled, but I [had] to include that story in my review.

Now, about the movie...obviously I like it, a lot! I won't lie though, when I watched it for the first time, in umpteenth years, I realized how corny some of Amour's acting was (lol), but it doesn't detour my feelings for the film at all. When the tears came rolling, I remembered why I was so anxious to locate this film again. People can talk about the budget and weak storyline all they want. This film will be tucked away with the rest of my small collection. Right next to Les Misérables, The Miracle Worker, Hysterical Blindness,...

I think when people are overstimulated by or accustomed to a certain genre and/or style of film, the message can go over one's head or it never reaches the frontal lobe b/c they don't even give it a chance. Perhaps someone may not like the guy (some of these reviews [be] sounding personal).

Honestly, I don't know what it is about this film (not in a bad way), aside from what's obvious. There are plenty of classics out there like The Color Purple, Eve's Bayou, you name it, but I don't own (& probably never will) either of those films. [shrugs]

Ok. First lets get the cons out of the way
1. Low-Low budget film
2. Characters/Actors did not move. They stood in one spot and delivered their lines.
3. Cast consisted of first time actors (I hope.

Now, once I got past the cons I continued to watch the film because:
1. There was some great dialogue and
2. I was intrigue about the protagonist's dilemma.
I think that the film's writer has great potential. I think if the film had a bigger budget then the film would have been WAY better. There would have been better direction, better acting, etc.
But all-in-all I enjoyed this movie. This was the first B-movie that I have EVER enjoyed.
