This review is from: Amphibious Vehicles (Land and Sea) (Library Binding)
- Two pictures pertaining to represent the LVT2, Alligator are, in actuality, pictures of a DUCKW, which is a wheeled amphibious truck. - The book states that the LVT3, Bushmaster, is a post-WW2 development when it was first used for the invasion of Okinawa. - In spite of its title "Amphibious Vehicles" the book is really about the development of the tracked amphibious tractor and its adoption by the Marine Corps. - Good, informative book for children, however, and I enjoyed reading it. I liked the section directing the reader to other resources, including the internet for further research.
