I bought this for my sister for Christmas, and I was really impressed with the excellent quality. It's a beautiful Bible, and the price is easily half that of Retail stores.

If you don't already know the Amplified Bible expands on regular English translations, by giving the full meaning of the Hebrew and Greek words from the original text. It's a great study tool, and helps the reader to better understand the exact meaning of the text.

As we all know, the Bible is easy to misinterpret, the AMplified Bible goes a long way to clarify things for the reader.

The Amplified Bible is a great Bible to use if you like to get a little bit more from your Bible-reading. Explanations to words and their full greek and hebrew meaning are included in the text in an easy way. Let me give you an exemple how one verse in the Amplified can be: John 14:26, "But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your rememberance) everything I have told you."
I really recommend The Amplified Bible!

Very nice Bible but check for possible unprinted pages in Isaiah and elsewhere as soon as you get it. We got a defective one at first but the replacement we picked up was good. Amazon was great about looking after the problem.
