Needed this to get my Father's attention when in the bathroom away from his amplified phone. The unit plugs into the side of the phone using a USB type of connector. Don't know what the real world maximum range is since I have the receiver only 20 feet away from the phone. Wish it didn't stick up from the side of the phone. I'm concerned it will get fiddled with or unplugged.
