5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive & easy to read
Super easy to pick out the notes and the fingering position on this large plastic coated chart. Using a pink background with black lettering, your eyes quickly find the information you need to play all those notes. No flipping pages back and forth. Nice close up pictures of the clarinet showing where to place your fingers. On the reverse side is a full page titled...

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Complex
This chart has the fingering for evrry different clarinet in use today from E-flat to bass. I find it too confusing. I down-loaded a much simpler chart from the Clarinet Closet for free.

Super easy to pick out the notes and the fingering position on this large plastic coated chart. Using a pink background with black lettering, your eyes quickly find the information you need to play all those notes. No flipping pages back and forth. Nice close up pictures of the clarinet showing where to place your fingers. On the reverse side is a full page titled 'Notation' explaining the written music components found on sheet music. This chart also gives you instruction in instrument care. A nice addition for a beginner clarinet player and a reminder for those who have played a for a few years. 'Transposition' and 'Pitch System' finishes off the reverse side. This guide is for Eb, Bb,Eb Alto and Bb Bass clarinets which is very nice when you want to add a different clarinet instrument to your repertoire. All in all a nice reference guide for the new player to the advanced clarinet player looking to find how to finger some of those odd ball notes that one finds in a few music scores.

The chart is very informative and easy to understand. Most helpful, since I haven't played a clarinet for 51 years. Thanks Amazon. Every purchase I make from Amazon is always handled and shipped exactly as I would hope it would be. No hangups, never late, and product always perfect. Thanks again, Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars good for beginners and students, December 16, 2010

Having played saxophone for years, I decided to finally expand my woodwind knowledge into the world of the clarinet. Befuddled by the fingering system, I am glad to have picked up one of these charts. It seems quite complete and will make a very handy reference.

I expected this to be simply paper, or at best thin cardboard. I was happily surprised to see this is a firm, laminated document - one big sheet, sort of tri-folded. Very durable. For the few bucks it cost me, this has been a good reference guide. Seems like a great product for anyone just learning this instrument.

A clarinet fingering chart is essential for anyone serious about playing the clarinet.
Maybe you have been playing the clarinet for years, but I can assure you there will be a few alternate fingerings for some notes that you may not be familiar with.
I really like the chart. I bought this product since I wanted a handy guide for the alternate fingerings on certain notes.
With this guide, I keep on learning more about the clarinet. It increases my speed for certain runs
Perhaps the only improvement I would suggest for the fingering chart is to have it as a laminated folder. I also play the saxophone, and my sax fingering chart is laminated.
The Amsco Clarinet Fingering Chart is on hard cardboard, and so long as you never spill water on it, it should last for years.
It is a handy resource that I plan to use for years.

I love this high-gloss, laminated Clarinet Fingering Chart. It has a large picture of the instrument inside with the fingering. It also gives the notation and instrument care. In addition, it shows its transposition and pitch system. This chart is invaluabe to anyone picking up the clarinet again who hasn't played since high school.
