This is a 3/16in. X 50ft. Amsteel Blue replacement winch cable for your 2,000, 2,500, and 3,000 lb winch. It has a thimble on one end with the other end plain. If you require a terminal on the plain end to attach to your winch please give us a call at 713-473-9000. Included is a free 5ft. chafe guard to prevent your winch cable from being snagged when being dragged over rocks and around trees. This winch cable has an average strength of 5,400 lbs which makes it stronger than your original wire rope which only has a breaking strength of 4,200 lbs. One of the benefits of Amsteel Blue is that when it breaks it will not slingshot back at you like wire rope. Another benefit is that it is synthetic which makes it easy to work with.

I bought this because my steel cable started to fray. I use this for plowing snow so it gets a lot of movement. So far it has been great not having to deal with cable frays which lead to cable breaks.

This rope was purchased to replace a winch cable on my wood processor. I online searched several companies and found this to be the least expensive product for our application.
It works exactly as advertised and exceeds our demands for use and reliability.
I would recommend this rope for most any winch requirement which requires a maximum breaking strength at a reasonable cost.

I have not used the cable to actually pull my quad out of a sticky situation yet but it's sooooo much better to work with than a tradional steel line! No memory what-so-ever and the chafe guard will be nice for using the plow when I need it. The 50' synthetic replaced my factory steel cable with no issue fitting on the spool of my Warn winch.
