It is incredibly refreshing and clean tasting.

One taste test comparison mentioned this one tasted most like the actual coconut that was used in the taste test for comparison.

Amy & Brian is the best tasting coconut water/juice out there in my opinion, and I've tried most all of them.

Please read my update at the end of this original review:

I've been sampling various amazon-available coconut wataers since my previous beloved Zico went nasty (from concentrate, sour, sodium enhanced, yuck). I've had and enjoyed O.N.E. in the tetra pak and Nature Factor's organic in a can. I've had and not liked as much VitaCoco. Previously, I had tried supermarket brands like Goya and Conchita. I'm always willing to try coconut water, looking for good price and great taste. I decided to try Amy & Brian's cause I learned about them from googling "coconut water taste tests" due to wanting to see what others thought of the brands out there. One taste test comparison mentioned this one tasted most like the actual coconut that was used in the taste test for comparison. Another taste test gave A&B props, too. So, yeah, got my attention.

This one is now my new fave. Second fave is Nature Factor's organic one. After that O.N.E.

I can say this to coconu water lovers: those above are definitely worth trying to see if you enjoy them, too, before you decide on a permanent subscription. I'm gonna order some more A&B CW very soon (I have 2.5 cases of Nature Factor's, and about 4 tetras left of the O.N.E., and I will drink those. I have 35 bottles left of the Zico (new formula) and I may just water my gardenia and hibiscus bushes with those.)

What makes this one a bit different than the good brands I've named:

Big can: 17.5 ounces. If you're really thirsty, this one is welcome. (I often drink two 10 ounce cans of Nature Factor's brand during supper, so having one can do the trick is handy).

Please see update at the end of this review. For fairness sake, I'm leaving original review I did when I tried the 17.5 oz cans intact. But the smaller cans do not contain the same quality product. Whether bad batch (one time) or just bad distributor/supplier for small cans (ongoing), I'd beware. Now, the original review, then the updates:

This is far and away my fave coconut water now that I'm self-exiled from the horror that is new Zico (they ruined a terrific product by making it from concentrate).

Note that this comes in cans, not tetra paks, and the cans are BPA-free. These are recyclable (well, as long as your area accepts cans.) Note as well that Amy & Brian's coconut waters are flash-pasteurized (like ONE and Zico and others). Unless you wanna risk crazy bacteria, coconut water must have some sort of pasteurization.

I've been sampling various amazon-available coconut waters looking for my new staple. History: I was a loyal Zico subscriber/drinker for a couple years. They changed. It's awful. I canceled my subscription. I've had and enjoyed O.N.E. in the tetra pak and Nature Factor's organic in a can. I've had and not liked as much VitaCoco and Harvest Bay. But all those are fine depending on your own taste preferences. Previously, I had also tried supermarket brands like Goya and Conchita. I'm always willing to try coconut water, looking for good price and great taste. I decided to try Amy & Brian's cause I learned about them from googling "coconut water taste tests" due to wanting to see what others thought of the brands out there. I don't get it -- everywhere I go now, mediocre coconut juice is in stores now for 5 times the price as this brand. This brand uses young THAI coconut, which is far sweeter than the young coconut from the Caribbean and Brazil that other products use. I am such a fanatic that I cut down several young coconuts fresh from trees while on trips to both Hawaii and Puerto Rico and those were not even as good as this product. I've been fortunate enough to also sample fresh young coconut juice once while on a trip to Thailand and while, admittedly, this product was not quite as good as having it fresh off the tree in Thailand, it does give you an approximation of what that is like.

I just got back from Thailand, and I think I drank at least one coconut per day. Upon my return I wanted to find something that compared to the original (it's hard to keep coconuts in the fridge!) I thought Zico was ok, but it tasted watered down and nothing like the Thai Coconuts I was used to. I tried Amy and Brian's on a whim at whole foods and fell in love. It's naturally sweet, so flavorful, and I love the pulp's texture. I was hooked. Finding it here at an amazing price was the kicker. I saved SO much money, which is good because I didn't think I could afford my new addiction. Thanks for the fast, free shipping!!

I was recently introduced to coconut water and really enjoyed it, however it was one of the sugar added brands that only had 80% juice (with pulp). After some searching, I found some pure coconut water (for twice the price as the sugar added one) at a grocery store and was eager to try it only to be let down. It was decent enough, but pretty bland. There weren't other options, so I searched Amazon. Amy and Brian's was a great deal compared to the bland grocery store option and had good reviews so I ordered a case.

A couple cans came slightly dented as others have mentioned, but it clearly happened during shipping and did not compromise the product in the least. When I finally opened a can, I was so excited by the amount of pulp in it (a lot!). Even better, they had the same sweetness as the sugar added ones but with a much cleaner taste. They use Thai coconuts, which are naturally sweeter than others. I love the pulp - it's really soft, so you can easily drink without chewing it. I've got a major sweet tooth but I've been working on eating better. A cup of it after dinner or throughout the day provides just enough sweetness to curb my dessert cravings, especially taking the time to chew the pulp. I definately enjoy it more at room temp too.

A wonderful side effect I've noticed is it helping with dry mouth! A medication I'm on causes pretty bad dry mouth and this helps much more then those dry mouth mouthwashes. It's rehydration properties are amazing for hangovers too(or preventing/lessening them when drinking a cup before bed).
