I have used this Organizer for 5 years now. I use it for my job as a Social Worker for a school system who makes home visits to families with little children. I used to use the tradition work-type day planners, but I have found this to be the perfect book even if I am using it other than it's intended purpose. I love the size of the monthly calendar pages...large enough for me to record my appts. and then the weekly day planner is also set up with lots of space for more detailed info. The back pages with the places for contacts has been updated and I use if for all my families and other important contacts. Just works great for me! If I was using it as a family organizer as it was intended I KNOW it would be even more perfect!

We've tried several other brands, but this one is the best. It covers 18 months so you can buy it early.

This is a great product. I love the large space for the weekly to do list and love the side tabs to plan the food menu. I highly recommend this product!

I've been using Amy Knapp's planners for years now and I love them. With 3 kids always on the run I can plan their schedules, menus and make to do lists all for the week. It's not the prettiest planner but it's the most practical. I've considered buying a cover for the it. I usually have the planner folded back to the current week so not sure if a cover would work for me. Each year I look for a better looking planner but I always come back to this one. It has everything I need. The pretty planners usually cost more too.

I am surprised this organizer doesn't have loads of 5 star reviews. I use Amy Knapp's organizers year after year, and everyone I turn on to it loves it as well. You simply cannot get a more functional format for the price. Sure the cover is bland, but I purchased a very inexpensive cover for it on Amy Knapp's website, which also zips and has pockets, and I never need to even see the cover. I love that this organizer has both monthly and daily views as well as perforated menu pull outs. The best part is, at year end, I simply pull out the monthly-view pages, staple them together, and file them for a super easy system for archiving our year-at-a-glance. Also, if you don't like the price here, check out Amy's website which often has 2 for $10 specials and discounts when you purchase mid-year.

This is the best organizer out there. I tried the cute-looking Mom's Plan It and I am switching back to Amy Knapp's even though I don't like the cover. The main advantages of Amy Knapp's organizer:

- All days of the week are on the right page. This is a major thing for me if you are right-handed.

- Because all the days are on the right, the menus can now be written next to each day of the week, not so convenient to do with the Mom's Plan it, since only Saturday and Sunday are on the right.

- The grocery list space is open, without sub-menus. I like to keep it that way. The Mom's Plan it has sub-menus, making the list less flexible. (I end up writing most of the items under "other").

Disadvantages:

- Ugly-ugly cover. I don't get this part...
- It would be nice to add a pocket to the front and back covers.

The disadvantages are minimal compared to the advantages and that's why this is still a winner.

I dread looking at this front cover. Zero appeal. I hesitated to buy this but it was slim pickin at this late date. I should have started looking earlier. Really, if Amy Knapp would hire a graphic designer, choose more imaginative colors, a more modern font and just re-do the entire design, including the front cover, she'd probably sell a lot more or have more return customers. Won't someone please pass the word to Amy???

This is a great household planner. I used to make my own, but Amy's is so similar that I now buy hers instead! Most planners of this type do not have a place for a weekly To-Do list; this one does. I NEED that, since I often know what I want to accomplish in a given week, but not which day I want to do it! Other favorite features include the space for writing down daily meals and as the yearly plan page at the back.

One thing I don't like is that the planner can only be bought in an 18-month format. This seems very wasteful, since I buy one each year and end up throwing away the "extra" 6 months. I also would like to see the monthly planning pages at the beginning of each month changed a bit to make space for a monthly to-do list. Those are minor beefs, however. Overall, this is the best planner I have seen. My husband bought me a different one a few years ago, and try as I might, I just didn't like using it. I was happy when the year was over so that I could go back to my Amy Knapp's!

This is a great planner, everything a mom needs for a busy schedule. Lots of space for notes and it has extra pages in back for everything you can think of. My kids love helping me put stickers on upcoming events. This is the second year I've bought this planner, and I plan on getting it again next year! It also has pages in back with the 2011 calendar.

It's a great organizer...however the cover is boring and that's simply why I never bought more than one! Create new covers and your likely to be a big hit!
