Product Description

Flavor: Curried Lentil | Size: 14.5-Ounce (Pack of 12)

Amy's Kitchen is a family business, with every member of the family taking part. The company was started in 1987, when Amy was born. Her mom and dad, Rachel and Andy Berliner, carefully nurtured the company as well as the child, paying constant attention to every aspect of its day to day activities and providing the vision that has made Amy's so successful. At Amy’s Kitchen, we make food in much the same way as you do at home. We start out with the freshest, organic vegetables we can find. We purchase high quality pastas, grains, beans and hormone free dairy from cows that are pasture raised. We make everything by hand. Our sauces are prepared in stages; first by heating oil, then adding aromatics and followed by fresh veggies and tomatoes. All the ingredients cook slowly until they reach their fullest flavor. In addition to their delicious taste, none of our products contain any GMO ingredients, so you can be sure the food you are eating is safe as well as nutritious.

Customer Reviews

It tastes great and is not too thin and salty as some soups are.
Kay
The flavors are authentic and this really tastes like a restaurant quality soup, not a typical canned soup.
Marzipan
This soup has veggies, noodles, broth, and little bits of fake chicken in it.

I have to say this is the best canned soup I have ever eaten. The fact that it is organic with no yucky processed stuff makes me even happier. You don't have to season this soup, at least I don't, it tastes great just heated out of the can. It flies off the organic foods shelf at my local grocery and this 12 pack is the only way to keep it in the pantry. I seldom find anything I am this happy about so try it you will love it!

Well, it's exactly what I thought I was going to get. I ordered it, and I got it, then I ate it. I enjoyed the third step the most.

This variety pack contains Minestrone and Lentil soup. The pack contains 8 as stated on the box. (The description says 6, but you do in fact receive 8: four minestrone and 4 lentil.) Both soups taste very good and are filling. I wish Amy's offered more variety packs. It is on the pricey side, but it is one of the better organic/healthy soup options out there, so I will continue to buy.

Vegan. Organic. Kosher. Hearty lentil soup with some added veggies. Less sodium allows the natural flavors to come through. Heart healthy. Can be used as a quick 'n easy "dal" (lentil curry) over rice. Great with organic crackers. Not spicy. Smooth & delightful taste. Six star company. Another vegan wonder from Amy's kitchen! This review is out there for those for whom this makes a difference. See all of my reviews for more great choices. Check out "Vegan Grocery Favorites" and "Vegan Grocery Top Ten" in Listmania. Flavor Name: MinestroneSize Name: 14.1-Ounce (Pack of 12)
I stopped purchasing other canned soups after trying various Amy's soups. Other brand soups taste too processed or salty for my liking. I usually make my soup fresh, but when I'm sick or just lazy, I'm glad I can enjoy an Amy's soup as much as my own homemade soup. Amy's Minestrone soup is my absolute favorite. The Minestrone tastes more like a homemade soup than any other canned soup I've tried - even within the Amy's product line.

Flavor Name: No Chicken NoodleSize Name: 14.1-Ounce (Pack of 12) Verified Purchase
Yes, it's on the salty side (most soups are), and yes, it's quite oniony.

One thing I've always missed from my pre-veg days is chicken noodle soup. This soup overall isn't exactly like the real thing (no chicken broth taste, after all), but the fake chicken chunks are so realistic in taste and texture that the first time I tried it, I had to check the ingredients to make sure it wasn't actually chicken. The noodles are the texture I would expect, just like in a can of condensed chicken noodle soup. The broth is more oniony than I would prefer, but I assume it's made that way to make up for the lack of chicken broth... and I would rather have an oniony broth than one that was too watery or too spicy/herby.

This soup immediately became one of my favorites. I mix crumbled Ritz crackers into it and, despite being a slow eater, I always end up scarfing it down in five minutes and wishing it wasn't gone already. So I'm really surprised that a few people here say it's so disgusting they had to spit it out. I'm not sure why that would be the case... unless they really hate onions, or they have a very low tolerance for vegetarian knockoff products.

So basically I think this is a fantastic soup and I'm really grateful that there's a product that fills the void of the nostalgic Campbell's chicken noodle soup from my early days. But if you're not a vegetarian or you hate onions or you don't like salty stuff, you might want to buy a single can in a local health food store to try this out before you commit to a whole case of it.

Flavor Name: Split PeaSize Name: 14.1-Ounce (Pack of 12)
This soup isn't your traditional pea soup. I expected this to be a thick, rich, pea flavored soup. It is not. It is rather thin and the onion taste is stronger than the split pea taste. As a soup, it is very tasty, nice texture and very healthy. Do not buy this soup expecting a thick pea soup, just expect a tasty soup, which is what it is. Amy's doesn't make anything that is "bad". Good soup, not pea though.

I'm a big fan of Amy's food and this is another stellar offering. The flavors are authentic and this really tastes like a restaurant quality soup, not a typical canned soup. I'm not even a big fan of soup, with the exception of a few but this one really stands out as both flavorful and healthy. It's high in fiber and iron and is relatively low in fat, especially given the exceptional taste. I've got my partner and my mother hooked on this now. I can't find it at any stores, even co-ops don't seem to offer it, so I'm happy to have discovered this gem here on Amazon. This is the second order I've placed in the past few months! I don't get tired of it.
