The Sprint HTC Evo 4G has many capabilities, including recording 720p HD video and outputting it via a micro-HDMI connector. No HDMI to micro-HDMI cable is included, so you have to buy your own. At the moment, these cables are somewhat scarce.

Amzer seems to be packager/distributor with a broad line of reasonably priced products.

Using the HDMI port on the Evo is simple. Plug the cable into the Evo, then the other end into the display. Photo or video output is automatically directed to the HDMI port.

This cable does what it promises to do: carries the signal from the micro-HDMI port on the Evo to your standard HDMI port on the display device.

Pretty simple and it works. Reasonably priced. Nothing more to ask for on this one.

I wish I would have done more research before buying a Amzer hdmi cable. I have read on other android forums that the amzer cable problem is a pretty common thing. Mine worked for two days and stopped. After two days it caused my phone to freeze or lock up and the signal would not transmit. I haven't read about any problems with the molex cables. I found out that Molex is one the companies that took part in developing the micro hdmi cables.

I should get my molex cable in a couple of days. I will try to update this review later.

I bought this AMZER HDMI cable and it was not working properly, then I called customer care and then what I found was very sad, the cable, I had got was a Amzer knock off, it was a cheap chinese cable. It was my mistake, I bought it from a third party seller and not directly from amazon or amzer.

What I learnt was all AMZER cables have there logo on the Ports and they say amzer, If you make the above image bigger, you will notice it has AMZER name on it, which means it is real.

I am posting this, to make all beware of the cheap knock offs people are selling as AMZER HDMI 5Ft cable, The real cable from amzer is very thick and it works very good.

I had to return this cable because it just doesn't work with my HTC Evo 4G. Moving the cable around when connected resulted in static and other garbled images. The packaging it came in was really too small for the cable length, and it had been bent pretty severely in order to fit, so perhaps that damaged it. I would definitely not recommend picking this cable up.

I guess I should have looked at the reviews before I jumped on the cheap price. I now understand why it was $4.00. Simply doesn't work with my EVO to my HDTV. I have tried many ways to try and make it work and it just simply doesn't work. DO NOT BUY!

This is an awesome addition to my Droid X. I can watch everything I record on my Droid X on by HDTV in 720p. Awesome!!!

The cable does not work. Connected my Droid X to my HDTV and the signal was not recognized. Connected my friend's EVO to my HDTV and the signal was not recognized. Used my friends micro-HDMI cable with my Droid X and it worked and of course the EVO with his cable did work. Clearly both phones work and the HDTV works, the only thing we changed out was the cable. Thus, this cable does not work at all.

I bought this item to use with my new Sprint HTC EVO. It did not work. I then bought a cable from sprint store that did work fine. the sprint cable cost about $30.

Tried cable on both TV and computer HDMI hookups. Did not work in either case. I called HTC and they said they could not guarantee any non-HTC cable and thought they likely not work. Funny thing is they do not have an HDMI cable and do not have a date for when one will be available.

Bought this cable for the HTC Evo 4G, and it doesn't work. The Evo screen freezes every time the cable is plugged in and I have to pop the battery to reset the phone. I've read others have had this same problem with the Evo and this cable.
