5.0 out of 5 stars A top pick for literary fiction readers, October 15, 2009
This review is from: An Insignificant Family (Voices from Vietnam) (Paperback)
War changes lives, during it and forever it after. "An Insignificant Family" is a novel of a Vietnamese family following the war with the United State. In particular, one Nguyen Thi My Tiep, who fought in the war as a guerrilla. A woman who is a good citizen at heart, her life depicts the spirit of the Vietnamese strongly through Da Ngan's fine prose. A top pick for literary fiction readers, "An Insignificant Family" is enthusiastically recommended.
