I purchased this book for a class that I was taking at the University at Buffalo. Due to the unavailability of the book, I went throughout the majority of the semester without it, just as most of the students in that class did. Thus I did not read very much of it. However, the portion that I did read presented a very clear and comprehensive intro to each philosopher and their life, beliefs, schools, and works.
