This two CD collection is indispensable for the TRUE Mecano fans...It has all of the songs I remember hearing in my adolescent years; obviously some songs had to be left out, but the ones that are included are simply magnificent; Hijo de la Luna, Cruz de navajas,el 7 de Septiembre, No es serio este cementerio, but most of all, Naturaleza Muerta are to be enjoyed with all the senses; on that last song, one could almost taste the ocean's water...as is the case with Hawaii Bombay. This collection will certainly bring memories of when and where you were, exactly at the moment you heard each of these songs for the first time, it's that GOOD!!!

Until very recently I did not know anything about Mecano. In Feb this year I visited Spain. A friend of mine put tape in the car and aksed me to listen to the music... I do not speak Spanish and I was not able to understand words, but the music seemed very sentimental. The next time in the same car, my friend translated for me No es serio este cementerio and cruz the navajas and got extremely surprised! The other day I went to Fnac to buy Mecano's CD... Now, it goes beyond saying that songs like "no es serio este cementerio, cruz de navajas, no hay marcha a Nueva York, hoy no me puedo levantar, la fuerza del destino, stereo sexual etc are the best... I unfortunately this band is not known in my country at all (Georgia - former USSR) and I happened to have been so lucky to buy it in Spain. Here this CD is very popular among my friends and colleagues, they just love it! Thanks to Mecano for their philosophy, for their words and nice music, thanks to friend of mine to drew my attention to this band. Their music is a real masterpiece. Good luck Mecano!

A very good compilation of their best known songs, by the best spanish group ever. None of the three members of this group has achieved such magic connection to the audience, in their solo careers, although I must say they've produced good material, but the mystic is gone. Maybe they didn't include all of their excellent songs in this album, which are many, many, but at least the most popular and representative were. If you are not familiar with Mecano you must buy this cd first of all. You'll be able to listen to such gems as "Mujer contra Mujer" (Woman against Woman), "Naturaleza Muerta" (Still Life), "Aire" (Air), "Hijo de la Luna" (Son of the Moon), etc., all the aforementioned by the great songwriter and member of the group, José María Cano, sung with unique feeling by petite Ana Torroja. Then, for sure you'll want more and more, and won't stop until buying all the rest of their records, especially "Descanso Dominical", in my opinion, their definitive masterpiece.

LA MUSICA DE MECANO ME HA LLEGADO AL CORAZON. UNA AMIGA DE ESPANA QUE RESIDE EN VALENCIA, ME INYECTO CON LA DROGA DE ESTE GRUPO MUSICAL. AL COMIENZO YO NO REALMENTE QUERIA OIRLOS, PENSABA QUE NO IBAN A SER TAN BUENOS.PERO CON OIR LA CANCION "ME CUESTA TANTO OLVIDARTE" ME HECHIZO LA MENTE. GRACIAS BARBARA POR METERME EN LA ONDA DE MECANO. SON DE LO MEJOR. ESTE FUE EL PRIMER ALBUM QUE YO CONSEGUI . JOSE ES UNA INSPIRACION POETICA, SU SERIEDAD DE SUS CANCIONES LO INDICA. NACHO CON SUS LOCURITAS HACE QUE SE LE PEGE LAS CANCIONES A UNO. A TODOS LOS FANS DE MECANO: SU MUSICA JAMAS MORIRA!!!!

Escuchar a Mecano, ya sea por sus arreglos exquisitos, o sus letras introspectivas y llenas de humanidad, es siempre un delite. Jose Maria y Nacho han compuesto nuevos temas que hablan de la post-modernidad de España y de Latinoamerica, y ellas en las voz de Ana las hacen divinas. No me canso de escuchar las nuevas canciones y tambien de encontrar nuevos matices en sus producciones anteriores. Cabe mencionar que Stereosexual y Cuerpo y Corazon son dos canciones, destinadas a ser clasicas, que hablan de temas importantisimos sin trivializarlos. Este es un disco para despedir el milenio y recibir el proximo. Espero que Ana, Jose y Nacho nos traigan mucho mas en el futuro, si bien en solitario, o tal vez con la magia de un grupo.

To listen to Mecano, either for their exquisite arrangements or their introspective and humane lyrics, is always a delight. José Maria and Nacho have created new songs that talk about the Post-modernity in Spain and Latinamerica, and whic Ana's voice renders them divine. I cannot tire from hearing the new songs and to find new hidden colors in their old songs. Note that 'Stereosexual' and 'Corazon a corazon' are destined to become classics that touch upon serious themes without being trivial. This is a record to say Goodbye to the old millenium, and welcome the new one. I am hoping that Ana, Jose and Nacho will give usmore in the future, either solo or with the magic of the group.

Creo que no hace falta decir cuan bueno es este disco compacto, Tiene la mayor parte de sus exitos. Ana esta mas bella que nunca. Los temas sociales tocados en sus canciones son unicos y de total realidad. Lamento ver que hay todavia gente enagenada de la realidad social que estamos viviendo, digo esto por los comentarios negativos que personas sin criterio y sin vision que han echo hacerca del el grupo Mecano. Gracias Espana y Gracias a ti Mecano.

Apesar de su regreso con varios temas anteriores, los temas nuevos dejan mucho de que hablar. Siempre supe que comprar su disco baldria la pena, y ahora con temas como Cuerpo Y Corazon, y El club de los humildes, se vuelven a colocar en mi lista de uno de los Mas grandes grupos de las historia del Rock en Espanol. Sus execelentes letras hacen que le de un lado suave a los temas de prostitucion, (Cuerpo Y Corazon) y homosexualidad (Stereosexual). Estos temas estan escritos a la perfeccion. Execelente CD. Lo recomiendo Completamente. Tambien sus otras canciones Inolvidables que nunca dejare de cantar. Bravo por Mecano. Si alguien esta en desacuerdo. Favor de escrivir por que.

Undisputibly the greatest Spanish group oif the time, Mecano rocks with all their greatest hits and new songs. Now on there own they have much success but this is a two cd set you will not forget. It is a cd to remember old times and enjoy new ones. I love it.

As a Mecano fan for quite some time a can asure you that the songs allocated on this particular CD are not only the best but the zenith of Mecano's career! I recognise that I'm 17yors. and as an adolescent taste are daftly fickle at this age but I can honestly say that Mecano will always be that band I can't get enough of!
