The DK early reading program is exceptional. Licensing popular franchises for different levels. Anakin is rated 2, while the companion book, Watch out For Jabba the Hut is level 1.

For those who have seen the Clone Wars, this is a good way to explain the story to young viewers. With art taken from the film, these books are topical, and use appropriate vocabulary. Want to raise a young Star Wars fan, pick these up and before long, you'll find your child reading any one of the Star Wars novels.

Great job. Simon Beecroft has a remarkable skill in writing for different age groups.

Keep up the great work DK.

My 6-year-old son is a HUGE fan of Star Wars. We don't let him watch the cartoon and he has only seen the movies once, but he seems to know everything about this fictitious world! So, when I noticed him bringing home the DK readers from the school library (all the little boys race to get them at school every week and he can't always get there first!), I knew just what kind of books to buy so he always has some at home to read. It is very important to have books available on topics kids love so they will love reading! Good job DK. We are amassing quite a library and he is so proud that he can read them himself!

My 6 year old son was having a hard time finding books at his level that he wanted to read. The "Ready Freddy" books are great, but he didn't feel like he wanted to read those himself. Most books seemed either too easy or too hard. Then we bought this book. He was skeptical, but I left it sitting out in the kitchen while I started making dinner. Before long, he was sitting down, reading away. His brother turned on the TV and not even that lured him away! He kept right on reading, then after dinner he read it aloud to me. Suffice to say, now I'm snapping these up.

My 6 year old daughter would NOT get into reading. She could read at a second grade level, but didn't enjoy reading. Enter: this book. 3 months later....she's still reading it.
