This review is from: Anakin: Apprentice (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones / Jedi Readers, Step 4) (Paperback)
My son is in kindergarten and is an advanced reader for his class. Still, this book would have been too advanced for him except that he knows the movie so well and he is so interested in Anakin Skywalker that he can understand the book on his own pretty well. It's just at his level and this book has got him so excited about reading on his own that he is practically unstoppable now. It's not great literature but to him it is greatly enjoyable.

Recently, my younger reader discovered Star Wars, and fell in love. This book is written for younger readers (approximately grades 2-4), and it tells a new story from the life of Anakin Skywalker. The story takes place after Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace and leading up to the events of Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones. The action is very good, being good enough to be made into a movie itself. There are a good deal of nice, colorful illustrations, which help to keep the younger reader's attention. We both enjoyed this book and recommend it to you and your younger reader.

I got this one just to add to the vast collection of books I have. It's okay, has paintings and is kinda abstract. Nothing that new about our favorite hothead.
