Essential reference on the subject,

This review is from: The Analysis of Burned Human Remains (Hardcover)
This book is a must-have for any practicing forensic anthropologist or student, but will also be extremely useful for forensic pathologists, fire and crime investigators, as well as paleoanthropologists dealing with cremated human remains. It is not a cheap volume, but just the second chapter (Patterned Thermal Destruction of Human Remains in a Forensic Setting) would suffice to justify the money spent. The list of contributors is almost a "who-is-who" of the field, covering almost all aspects of the study of burned human remains. Very comprehensive and needed review of the field.

Book arrived as promised. Only black and white pictures but that's okay by me. I bought the book for the theoretical information.
