This review is from: Analysis and Deformulation of Polymeric Materials: Paints, Plastics, Adhesives, and Inks (Topics in Applied Chemistry) (Hardcover)
This book is not for anyone who doesnt have access to GC gear, it introduces no concepts that are not already familiar to anyone who has taken any chemistry, and if you havent taken chemistry you shouldnt even be looking at it. I can sum the book up in one process:

Sample-> solvent-> GC -> analysis -> trial and error.

I didnt run across one reference to any reaction or compounds typically tested for. A total waste of money, ESPECIALLY at the price they are asking...
feel free to contact me if you have questions, I'll even send you a digital capture of what I mean.
