5.0 out of 5 stars Taking the Mystery Out of Pumping Tests, April 30, 2002
By
"april1746" (Vancouver CANADA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Analysis and Evaluation of Pumping Test Data (Ilri Pub Ser .: No 47) (Hardcover)
Previous exposure to the subject matter is not required, but would be beneficial to the reader. The book's brief introduction/discussion of first-order equations is followed by an excellent array of practical field problems and data analyses. The reader will not be overwhelmed by deriviation, but, instead is provided very sensible and workable methods for making-sense of your field numbers.

Simply stated, it is a "must have" for better understanding and applying the results of your field tests.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hydrogeology, Fundamental Source Text, August 14, 2009
By
Robert B. Stanfield (Bucks County, PA, USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Analysis and Evaluation of Pumping Test Data (Ilri Pub Ser .: No 47) (Hardcover)
The text is a fundamental source for practicing hydrogeologists analyzing aquifer test data. Almost a necessity on every hydrologist book shelf. Though its first edition was first written thirty years ago, the new edition is a welcome update. The scarcity (and essential nature) of this text had driven the price on the second hand market to unreasonable heights.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most comprehensive pump test book, July 21, 2009
This review is from: Analysis and Evaluation of Pumping Test Data (Ilri Pub Ser .: No 47) (Hardcover)
This was the main reference book for my master's thesis on pump test at hardrock/crystalline rock aquifer. The book has, I think, the most comprehensive sections on variable discharge test and linear flow test.

Most important, the book shows step by step on how to calculate for any pump test equations.
