5.0 out of 5 stars great book, April 5, 2011
This review is from: Analysis: What Analytical Chemists Do (Paperback)
Although written 20 years ago, this book is a great introduction to the chemical basis of quantitative measurements. The language is very accessible even to first year undergraduates and high school students. The stuff on instrumental techniques is a bit out of date, but the general philosophy hasn't changed. Would make a wonderful companion to the a quantitative analysis class or even the intro to analytical chemistry course for graduate students. The Royal Society of Chemistry should persuade Prof Tyson to write a second edition.
