This is a great overview of printed scores from all the periods of music history beginning with the Medieval Chant to 1979. Each score is in its entirety or is an important section of a piece. The pieces contained within are quintessential pieces by each composer, thus making this workbook a must have for any college music student.

This book is excellent for music theory students. It has many examples from baroque, romantic, classical, and 20th century music. It explains the pieces very well and better helped me understand the concepts behind music theory.
